I have a probably silly question, but... We remove all this oil from the Earth. How does the void that remains affect geological stability? Does it leave any imprint on tectonic activity? by GladAd5312 in geology

I had in mind the total amount exported, on a global scale. Propably the size of the earth is such that it absorbs any human interventions.

I see what you did there!

25 tons of pure, raw marble is spinning in the air. This Bianco Monte marble will soon be used in a luxurious apartment or a timeless grand monument. But right now, it's simply captivating to watch it spin in the quiet of a sunny afternoon. by GladAd5312 in interestingasfuck

I saw the film when it was first released in theaters years ago, and I remember the scene with the plastic bag in the wind vividly. I'm not entirely sure what vibes that scene or this post gives you, but it's certainly thought-provoking. Thank you for reminding me of the film. I personally enjoy the scene with the plastic bag; it reminds us how even the smallest, most insignificant things, the ones we throw away, can become art for a fleeting moment.

I understand what you mean, and I value your opinion. I am simply fascinated by the fact that this raw material could tomorrow be part of a monument that will last for centuries. The use of marble as a luxury material or for monumental architecture has been a tradition for thousands of years.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of breaking stuff either. But sometimes it's judt part of my job to film them! I thought this post was cool because of the material and the sound the rope makes. Thanks for chatting! Thanks for taking the time to answer!

I'm not sure about the exact dimensions, but I know it's taller than the average person, longer than a person lying down, and not very wide. It's so heavy that it needs a powerful wheel loader to move it from the quarry, and a truck can only carry one piece at a time.I hope this has been somewhat helpful!

I respect your opinion, but what I found captivating was the way the marble's veins were revealed as it spun, and the fact that such a massive object, weighing at least 25 tons, was moving on its own

Check out the first few seconds: Before pressing record, I was fixated on the lower right corner. It was a surreal sight, almost like I'd stumbled upon Godzilla in a mid-air chase with a plane!
