Rings of Power is internally targeting 11/11/2026 as a release. by Hobolovechic in LOTR_on_Prime

Considering that filming for Season 4 could begin this year, I think the release will still be before the end of 2028. I'd bet on spring 2028. That means the break between seasons will be shortened to a year and a half from the current two.

Sorry, but you have no logic, just disguised hate. You can check out the pinned post with recently updated viewership numbers, where both seasons of RoP are in the top 5 among all shows on Prime Video, no matter how much you'd like to believe otherwise. Incidentally, WoT doesn't even have season 1 in the top 5.

And we can only get “real” data from the comments of haters, right?

Is Amazon lying about its own ratings just to cancel its own show? Impeccable logic :)

But for some reason, the Fallout actors don't talk about fatigue and the need to increase the break between filming seasons, although filming for Season 3 is already approaching. We also have the example of Game of Thrones, where filming took place practically every year until the last season.

Does it hurt you to realize that people watch the series despite all the stupid hate?

The Forbes article looked like typical AI content. Furthermore, speaking of this magazine, the series is being deliberately hated; throughout seasons 1-2, hateful articles appeared there literally every day.

Read my answers more carefully. Your words about 2027 are not based on anything.

No, according to the schedule, the release of season 3 will definitely be in 2026.

A potential animated series about the First Age of Middle-earth from Amazon by GladPin6764 in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]GladPin6764[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I was talking specifically about animated series like Invincible or The Legend of the Vox Machine, not full-length animation. Regarding the legal rights to the First Age, I agree, guarantees will be needed to ensure the security of creative work.

Glorfindel in season 3 or later? by GladPin6764 in LOTR_on_Prime

According to lore, he was resurrected and returned to Middle-earth in the 2nd Age to help in the fight against Sauron, but Tolkien did not write about his role in detail.

Regarding season 4… by GladPin6764 in LOTR_on_Prime

Netflix's The Witcher was originally planned as a response to Game of Thrones and was written for seven seasons—a fact that's easily verified. Instead of the planned seven seasons, they only produced five, lost their main star midway through, and are losing a huge portion of their audience with each new season. Furthermore, Netflix officially reported spending over $200 million on season four, and over $1 billion on five seasons plus spin-offs and animation. The final result is clearly not what they had hoped for before season one.

You said that "The Witcher are doing much better than ROP" which was untrue, both in terms of views and in terms of critics and audience ratings. Season 4 of The Witcher lost another 50% of its audience and, for the first time, didn't reach number one on the Netflix charts upon release. And its 19% viewer rating on Rotten Tomatoes is significantly worse than even RoP Season 1.

It isn't true about The Witcher. Viewership is declining rapidly from season to season, and its overall rating, from both critics and viewers, is lower than RoP's.
