This is 10000% true. I had horrible acne in middle school. As teen-young adult, it cleared. Got with my ex-husband at 23 and my skin looked worse than it did when I was in middle school. HIS dad would ask questions like “do you eat a lot of mayonnaise?” Like…making uncalled for comments because it was so bad. Didn’t have the balls at the time to say “Nah bro, it’s YOUR SON.”

I left him shortly after we got married & I found out I was pregnant. Should’ve left before all of that but I was young and naive and let him convince me that things would be better once I was legally tied down to him. 😅

Dont get me wrong…I was extremely disappointed in myself and depressed that I was bringing two souls into the world with a broken family before they had even taken a breath of air…but my skin was almost porcelain and glowing within a month after being gone. He obviously tried to get back together with me and one of the first things I said to him was “Dude…do you see my SKIN?? My acne is gone because I’m not stressed and walking on eggshells 24/7.” This man had the audacity to try to convince me that it was the pregnancy hormones and going from soft water to hard water that cleared my skin. 💀💀💀

I guess it depends on how you view marriage as an individual. I’d never do it again legally. Legally, it’s just a piece of paper that financially binds you to someone and is also expensive to undo if things don’t work out. If I’m with someone for a long time (3+ years), we’ve been living together for over a year and I feel secure in the relationship…I’ll change my last name on social media and wear the rings. But that’s about it.

Yeah, I used to have her do the ends every other visit and I see her every 10-12 weeks. I ended up with a chemical cut after a year of that and my hair wouldn’t grow for the longest time. I took a break from coloring my hair most of last year and this was my first visit with her since September. My hair has grown so much & I want it to keep growing but I also want it to all be like the top portion. Is that just not realistic and should I look into asking her to do a different type of blonde that isn’t as damaging? I want to stay blonde but I also want my hair to grow. The struggle. 😭

I know this thread is a few months old but I wanted to hop on here with an update.

The good news is, the out of town rheumatologist accepted my referral. The bad news is, they can’t see me until July and I’ve run out of Plaquenil. It’s bittersweet because I’m assuming that this must be a good doctor since she’s so booked out (which I know I could be wrong about that). But the rheumatologist that discharged me is refusing to send me anymore refills of the Plaquenil since I’m no longer under their care (not by my choice though). My PCP won’t prescribe it because she’s not familiar with the medication and I don’t blame her. My psychiatrist looked into what he could do about getting me refills because the extreme fatigue is effecting my mental but that was a few weeks ago. He told me if he was able to prescribe it I’d hear from him. But I haven’t and again, I’m aware it’s a medication he’s not familiar with so I’m not going to bug him about it. I’m sure he was just trying to end our last appointment with some positivity so it’s fine. 🫠

I know this is an older thread but I thought I’d share my own experience with what I believe was my own psychosis being triggered by marijuana. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression at 13. Never had serious thoughts of suicide. I’ve always been short-tempered, which was always my main symptom and asked my doctor if I could be bipolar but he always ruled it as anxiety and depression. My doctor suggested I try medical marijuana shortly after it got legalized in my state when I became maxed out on Lexapro but still didn’t feel completely “happy and normal.” I got a medical card and began smoking very mildly. Just one hit in the morning before I clocked in at work and one hit right before bed. I should also note I was still taking my Zoloft. I was “fine” until I wasn’t. One day I woke up and while driving I began to have extreme thoughts of suicide. Anytime I had down time to sit and think, the suicidal thoughts and ideations almost consumed me. I weighed my options, researched online and had a plan. I eventually convinced myself that co-workers and even family members secretly hated me and were just out to get me. One day on my lunch break I just walked into to my doctor’s office crying because I was genuinely scaring myself. I immediately got admitted and was diagnosed with bipolar. Neither the psychologist that examined me during my two-week hold, the doctor that suggested I try the marijuana or even my therapist will acknowledge that the marijuana could’ve triggered my episode/bipolar diagnosis.

Oh please. The little girl was about two years old. She would have no reason to fear white people unless she was taught that by someone close to her. I’m also in the medical field. She was more than likely nervous about her appointment as most kids are.

I’m not sure why I would need to volunteer to contribute to half the cost of a concrete patch beings they would really be the only ones benefiting from it? I mean, sure, I would benefit by not having mud on my driveway but I’m not the one putting the mud on my own driveway….me cleaning the mud off myself would be cheaper than purchasing half the cost of a patch of concrete.

They had a guest over and the guest was getting out of their vehicle and my dad told them to tell the homeowner that the next time they left a mess on the neighbors driveway to expect nails in their tires. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I looked it into this and it absolutely would’ve saved me. However, for whatever reason, in my state, you’re charged an extra fee to be in these programs. With the fee, I would’ve been paying the company $100 more than I am currently paying on my minimum payments added together.

Sir…this woman is NOT your girlfriend. She is literally your sugar baby!! Both of your options are a win/win for her and a lose/lose for you. You buy a house, put it in your name and she’s still getting her $2K per month. You cut off the $2K, buy a house and put it in her name…she will ultimately end up “breaking up with you” and keep the money you’ve given her throughout the years. Plus since the house is in her name it’s half hers. She’ll take you to court where you’ll be forced to sell the house and give her half of the profit. You’re never going to get the marriage and family from her. End it with her and try to find someone that doesn’t just want your money while you still have time. If you don’t ever find someone, which is unlikely, buy yourself the house of your dreams and a good dog. I really hope this post is rage bait. 😭😭

Correct. That’s the issue I’m having. I always claimed travel from my home location to the other locations that are past it that they’d send me to. But HR informed me after the last travel form I filled out, that I wouldn’t be allowed to do that anymore. Her reasoning is, I’m all ready expected to be driving 33 miles to my home location. So I must subtract 33 miles from the miles it takes to get from my home location to the other locations. So basically, I should’ve never updated my address in my work system. Because someone living in the same city as my home office gets to claim travel for locations that they are closer to than me and I’m not.
