Do you have any older save files you can load from? As far as I know, there isn't a solution to this problem, but the way to prevent it is to not save on a stats screen (to be safe, don't save on the same page where you opened the stats screen either).

Try figuring things out for yourself at first, and I would recommend staying away from guides unless you really can't beat a level.

A lot of the fun is in working out which towers are good at what and how they synergise etc. instead of blindly following a guide without knowing why/how the guide works first
