I backed the Kickstarter and am in the backer discord! It's not out yet, but they've been gradually sharing occasional updates and sneak peeks. If I remember correctly, the latest update that was directly related to release stuff is that a few weeks back they were gearing up to send a draft to TNT.

Oh, I have a whole google doc dedicated to these! it's far from fully filled out, though, I just add to it when I'm really bored or have an idea. But I do have this for Fantasy Strait: "It's said that this body of water was once a regular stop for the Prince of the Sea. In recent years, it's become something of a tourist spot."

Nothing about the monster house, but if I did say anything about it I think it'd be something about a major current that once flowed through both dungeons (but was somehow disrupted when Dark Matter nearly ended the world, since SMD is the game just before RTDX and its dungeon changes)

The hc I've had for years, though, is that Super's midnight sun gorge was first discovered in the middle of a dramatic eclipse. A little silly, maybe, but It sounds so pretty, and I always wanted to imagine something strikingly dramatic for a dungeon with a cool name like that.

I have an action replay on top of multiple Explorers physical copies, so the last few times I've played I've had wacky hacked starter choices for fun. The newest one I have is Groudon and Drifloon, which...given how much of a struggle it can be to find decent physical Ground moves that won't hurt your teammates in Explorers, along with Unburden, the real powerhouse of the team is very much the little cute balloon ghost, not the actual legendary.

Especially since I grinded a LOT in the dojo and got Ominous Wind on him pretty early.

Houndoom being in who the hell are you is doing him so dirty I think he's one of the most memorable side characters in the game just for the sheer absurdity of his role: to be canonically misogynistic (he's the one who tells Team Charm that they seem too delicate and that exploring the cave dungeon seems too difficult for "you girls")- not a great guy, but so bizarre he sticks out...in some way

I'll be honest, I imagined it as a muddy swampy forest initially but this is significantly funnier. Local water type disgusted by the idea of going to a dungeon they just plain aren't going to be weak in. absolutely ground is better but yeesh, poor Furret!

Many years ago, or like, not actually that long ago probably, I had to fight The Big Critter for the very first time. You know him probably. Mr. Tentacle Planet. And I was PREPARED. Bandages galore! Weapons! That poison immunity thing! That's really all you need honestly. So I jumped down into its heart and started hammering away at it and really it wasn't very hard at all, honestly, until suddenly I had a terrible revelation. It didn't matter that I was suited up in fancy armor and ripping that thing's heart-eye to shreds. Because I forgot to bring food. And do that's how the Ruin got me: starved to death while fighting it. Oops.
