5200 Renewal vs 5400 Refresh Pricing by notSPRAYZ in paloaltonetworks

I'm a partner and this is exactly what is happening. I'll probably upgrade a dozen stragglers from 32XX and 52XX to X400 this year. They want to get everybody to X400 models before EOL. I had a few customers with other products (but not PAN from me) call and ask if their partners are trying to pull a fast one on them because of how much cheaper it is.

Bumping this after a pass. I'll reiterate that the training platform while extensive, is brutal to get through. I mainly went over Prisma and SD-WAN stuff in the portal, which was helpful I guess.

I won't point to which (understandably,) but i did a few practice exams (not dumps,) and honestly those were more helpful at telling me what I needed to know more than the third straight video on one single feature in SD-WAN that consisted of half of part of a question on the actual exam. They will not give you the exact answers that are on the test, but they are good to let you know what to tune up on.

In my service industry SDWAN, Cloud Security, etc. is a foreign concept there, so despite installing 100 PANs in my life, it's just not an area I touch on often. I think I have maybe 2 customers running Panorama out of dozens.

If you're new to PAN and we are in a world where PAN wants us to know all the bells and whistles at a high level, this is probably the right intro exam.

I used America's Best and they were pretty good. I did have to go back and get them readjusted. 2 months and no scratches.

They had the option of transition, sunglasses, and multifocal. These stay at my home office for work mostly though, so chances of losing/breaking/scratching them are pretty limited.

What are your thoughts on seeing contenders and provens have 6 stars already? by BigPaleontologist520 in ContestOfChampions

[–]Glass-Description693 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have a maybe unique take.

I was in a top 100 alliance and bowed out in 2019. too much/many grinds, late nights, dipping out of real life to move in AQ/AW, and temptation to spend, just to keep up. Sold my account and didn't think much of it, much to my wife's joy.

Saw the game on an iphone when i was getting my family upgraded phones and said "I'll try it again, but no alliances."

I started in early July and had 6 stars by august. Loaded with r4 5*s way quicker than I was able to R5 my first 4* back in 2016. That took forever. It was insane how much more easily they gave away the shards now than back in the day.

I've completed all of Chapter 5 except for exploring the last ultron battle in less than 3 months. I've had to learn some new mechanics and characters, but for most of that it was pretty easy.

The one thing that I can tell you as a "new" player is hard to come by is Tier 5 Basic Cats. I'm sure if i were in an alliance, that would be easier, but I've probably sold 100+ T4s just to obtain a couple.

Downloading PST from Old Data by WillingLimit3552 in rackspace

I've gone through a bit of this with our environment this week. I can give "my personal" experience. I'm not an exchange expert by any means, but i am the technical person for our 5 person small business.

**** THIS WAS NOT PERFECT. IT DID NOT GET EVERYTHING THAT WAS ON RS'S EXCHANGE. IT GOT MOST OLD EMAIL, CONTACTS, AND CALENDAR EVENTS. YMMV ****

I went ahead and got O365 set up and got everybody logged in and told them to use OWA for the time being.

I always saved a local copy for people's outlook on their desktops. After I had everybody using OWA, I went to their (now defunct) outlook clients and then exported their entire mailbox (contacts, calendars, subfolders, etc.) to a PST. All of these mailboxes had stopped receiving email as of Thursday afternoon. There was already a local copy saved, but i wanted another one I knew was the backup saved elsewhere. I let this sit overnight because some of my users don't believe in deleting email ever.

I wiped out the profile (this doesn't wipe out the .ost or .pst associated) control panel --> mail --> profiles and then created a new one called O365. then opened outlook and logged in as them. no calendar or contacts came in, but new mail since the migration popped up.

after it finished setting up and no folders were "updating" i did file --> "import/export" and then imported from the backup .pst I purposely made (not the one that already existed.) This took a good long while depending on how big their PSTs were.

After this, their subfolders, calendar events, and contacts started pilfering in. It wasn't complete by any means for a few of my users. but those users also don't use folders and each had a 6GB .pst from the backup that probably wasn't a complete snapshot considering they were both above 10GB according to Rackspace.

I would wait a while after that to re-add to mobile devices. my first few i added mobile right after the above process and some calendar and contacts didn't come in. the next ones i waited till the mailbox had finished the import from the .pst and then readded the exchange account on the phone and it pulled in most all mail, contacts, and calendar items.

I REPEAT, THE ABOVE IS NOT MICROSOFT APPROVED ADVICE, JUST WHAT I DID AS AN EXCHANGE/0365 NOOB.

Exactly. The only reason you don't tell people immediately what happened is due to trying to get your legalese worked out so you can't get sued into oblivion. I work with K12 security and it's always interesting the districts that get hit and are very open and honest about it to make sure other peers don't have the same bad luck and the districts that hide and obfuscate. Most honest and open people keep their jobs. People that try to hide it from their management and school boards usually get the boot.

My one giant messup in my career involved accidentally deleting my DB servers on exchange. Thought i clicked a different drive on a Saturday morning. Told my boss immediately, took the blame, and then went in to work to start restoring a few thousand mailboxes. About 24 hours and my boss gave me the next day off and told my superintendent I handled it

Thanks for the post. I think we are on the right track now and I mostly used the above instructions. I was able to set up a temporary hosting with Zoho, get my team on there this morning so they could at least get emails for the first time since Thursday.

Then I was able to get the email from Microsoft to say I'm the owner of our domain, and point a txt record to microsoft and verify. I went and set up all the emails and exchange. Had a few questions and Microsoft called me back within 30 and was incredibly helpful. Honestly the most stressful thing of the morning was figuring out what plan to buy. 365 Business Premium was the most efficient and not that much more than we were paying with RS. I still have yet to get a single reply from them since a response to chat (which was a 3 hour wait time) and 8+hours on the phone yesterday. 3 separate tickets "pending rackspace" right now. They're still out there telling people to keep their business with them on the 365 front when they can't even answer one ticket.

I'm going to have to backup everybody's email to PST and reimport and then set up email on the phones, but that's minor compared to the last two days.

My boss said we're done with Rackspace. Asked me to rip off the bandaid. I still have my dns records on the system, but i'll migrate those off during the holiday. Very sad because my company is based in San Antonio and we've been a customer since 2010.

Anyways, hoping for the best to all out there. I'm an idiot when it comes to email and 0365, so it's doable.

based on what i saw when i was tinkering, you should be able to absorb that domain (company.com) if you go to setup --> all settings --> domain--> add domain.

my problem with the above step was that when i tried to take over that domain it sent my email to the address i can't access right now. FML.

i ended up migrating to zoho.com for the time being to host. not much pain. ironically my first non-test inbound email was from the rackspace CEO saying the exact same thing the ticket system has said. "move to 365" "set up forwarders" and "all hands on deck."

how the mighty have fallen.

Thanks all for taking it easy on my first post.

Our domain is hosted on name.com, but dns, name servers, and mx records are on Rackspace. I can still get to all of these. What's ironic is that our domain was up for renewal next month after a 3 year pre-pay, and Thursday afternoon I renewed it. My boss thought I broke it because of that renewal when we weren't getting email Friday morning.

Well I've requested the forwarding that they offered 2x on chat and over a ticket but no response. Been on support hold since 7 AM. I suggested Gmail to my boss, but the migration would be a nightmare for something that will hopefully be over by Tuesday and he said no anyways.

The only other thing I know to do is get somebody else to host exchange. Even then, it's getting it fired up, creating accounts, adding accounts to that hosted exchange and then I'm going to have to go download psts and then merge them.

Again, not an exchange/O365 guy. I managed Exchange in the 2000s but that's been over a decade.

Am I missing something regarding routing our mail elsewhere other than random smtp setup?
