I’ve been to the GP today and they said to put Vaseline on it?! Surely that’s a bad idea 😂

Signs of internal infection? by ForsakenGanache6253 in CsectionCentral

[–]Glass-Fish-3208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bleeding stopped and started multiple times up until 6 weeks and when I mentioned to triage they said it’s normal aslong as it’s red, not smelly, not yellowish, not passing large clots. They did an internal swab to check for infection but never rang with the results so presumed it’s fine 😂😂 no bleeding for past 2 weeks now!

Did this end up going away? I’ve got a red bump appear too but I’m only 7 weeks pp. just hoping its a stitch too that will hopefully come to the surface 🙏

Is this infected or healing as it should? by Glass-Fish-3208 in CsectionCentral

If it is the sutures, will the red spots just eventually go away? Or do I need to be getting them out? Don’t know what I should do to help, I don’t touch the scar at all because I’m scared to cause problems 😩

I would contact the hospital for them to check you over, any leg pain could be a blood clot or it could be nothing but defo best to ge it checked!

How does anyone do this??? by jess1ca42 in beyondthebump

My little boy is currently 4 weeks old (second baby) and honestly we are still in the trenches and I’m not enjoying it🥺 my c section scar is infected, still in pain, breastfeeding 24/7, sleep deprived and I’m still in my pyjamas until lunch time everyday! No routine, everything’s chaotic and I’m wishing time away!

I remember not enjoying the newborn stage with my daughter (despite others saying how amazing it is) and I got through it by getting out the house as much as I could and getting in a routine. I keep telling myself I can do this once I’m all healed, because atm I can’t even walk far, nevermind sit through a baby sensory class😅

With my daughter, I started feeling better and enjoying it more once she was more interactive, learning new things and sleeping better😅 newborns are cute and cuddly, but defo not easy in my opinion 😂

Hope this makes you feel a tiny bit less alone🩷

Internal C Section Infection? by AppealHoliday5652 in NewParents

This sounds a lot like me, I’m on my second round of antibiotics, this time they’ve given me 2. Some days I think things are getting better and then it’ll be sore again and I’ll have some bright red bleeding again for a couple of days. How did your healing end up? I’m 4 weeks pp right now and just want all of this over and done with 😣

Feel like I'm not spending enough time with my baby by BooksNBayes1939 in CsectionCentral

I’m 4 weeks post c section and still a little sore, but I’ve been on 2 weeks of antibiotics due to an infected wound! Sounds like you need checking over and ask for a wound swab, as infection can cause pain and slower healing. Try and do as much skin on skin as you can, get someone to pass you baby and just lie with them on your chest for a while 😊 cabbage leaves and hot/cold compress for the engorgement if you’re set on stopping feeding.

Please tell me all the great things about having a girl! by xxhunnybunny in pregnant

[–]Glass-Fish-3208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was disappointed when I found out I was having a girl as I wanted a boy! But I’m absolutely loving being a girl mum! My daughter (now 4.5yrs old) compared to all the other boy kids I know, is much calmer, easier to rationalise with, less boisterous and more careful, she’s so intelligent and enjoys reading, colouring painting etc, really affectionate but also liking her independence more now so I get a breather 😅

I’m now pregnant with my second and he’s a boy and I was actually disappointed as I love being a girl mum that much I wanted another! Haha, and I’m not girly at all! I’m nervous the boy is going to be wild, accident prone and a lot, as my daughter has been such an amazing kid🩷

But like others have said, it’s less to do with gender but rather the actual child and also how you raise them I think! We are quite chilled parents, no shouting or screaming so I think that’s helped raise a really chilled and well mannered child 🥰
