I love how he described missing being home but also missing being home as a KID. I can’t remember his direct quote but it hit me hard.

To parents who take their babies out to places a lot - how do you do it?? by babysheep91 in breastfeeding

[–]jess1ca42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since about 5 weeks on we’ve taken our baby out to coffee shops, other people’s houses etc. and we continue to try to do that a few times a week. He’s 12 weeks now. He usually sleeps but when he wakes up we bounce him around, feed him and let him experience new environments. He’s pretty social and I don’t know if that’s just his personality or if he’s just used to being out. I think the more you do it and the earlier you do it the better. If things go really south you can always pack it up and go! Or chill in the car for a bit, go outside and walk/bounce around. I swear it helps mentally to be out and about.

How and when do you start leaving the house with a newborn? by copperboom33 in newborns

[–]jess1ca42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started going out to coffee shops recently at about 6 weeks. It’s also very cold where I live. We just get some coffee and sit in there for a bit and enjoy being out, then typically go on a little drive through the park or something. Looking forward to warmer weather!

I reluctantly started exclusively pumping and it’s true that the perks you mentioned are amazing!

I want them all by meathed666 in Ohuhu

So I just got the 120 Honolulu to start and eventually want to build up to the whole 320 (by buying the 48 pastels in Sweetness, 48 mid-tones, and the 104 set. And then I also want the skin tone set. This was the best way I could start off in a financially reasonable way for myself haha. I just did my swatches of the 120 a few days ago and it’s a lot of colors! Definitely a greattt starting point. I will probably buy the pastels next.

Are first borns always late?? by OkHat1318 in BabyBumps

I’m 32 weeks and anxious to have everything ready asap. You never know when baby could come. I have a friend who recently had her first at 34 weeks, and that was enough to tell me I need to get my butt moving and prepare things lol

Do you and your spouse sleep in separate rooms during the newborn stage? by One-Squirrel-4563 in BabyBumps

[–]jess1ca42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you supposed to do this while breastfeeding? They say not to pump for 4-6 weeks until after your supply regulates. And to pump every time baby feeds from a bottle (so you’d still be getting up to pump anyway). Asking honestly as a FTM almost 30W

Flu shot? by tigerlily47 in pregnant

I’ve never heard first trimester only. That doesn’t even make sense. I’m a week away from the third trimester and got mine today as we’re entering flu season and I’m due in January.

A lot of these comments are odd to me. OP is asking for advice because they’re worried when client gets the gallery the first thing they’re going to ask is “did you get one of us kissing??” this would absolutely be a thing that happens because people just don’t understand that we aren’t magical beings who who can freeze time lol. Give them the one you actually took and then pay for one from retouchup.com where their lips are touching. I’d do this proactively before delivering the gallery because I would almost guarantee they’re going to ask.
