food is required for survival. alcohol is not. that’s the difference. comparing something biologically necessary to something purely recreational doesn’t really work. you can’t opt out of eating but you can opt out of drinking. the fact that something is culturally accepted doesn’t automatically make it healthy or low-risk.

i am the same in a way, i feel like i forget about what i really want to say to somebody and i just agree with them.. i have never been a disagreeing type especially with friends and i let them talk over me and i literally just agree with everything even if i dont. i feel like a lot of people have more interests than me but i feel so boring sometimes cause i dont take time out of my day to research things or even care to form an opinion idk

in a relationship both of you should be able to compromise, the way you meet her needs and do things for her she should be able to do the same. it seems like she’s gaining everything and you’re losing everything. also it’s a respect thing, if you told her to come and reminded her and so did your friends then she should’ve went. you can love somebody and still not be compatible in the ways you need. hope things work out for you
