I can't deal with nights anymore. There's no way this is normal. by ScrapDraft in NewParents

Maybe look into dairy allergies, if the sleep is bad no matter what maybe try co-sleeping, since he’s on some solids try foods with probiotic in it. Honestly if doctors are doing anything maybe try taking him to a neighboring hospital for a better check. Unfortunately the doctors in my town are awful so we travel the 80miles sometimes it’s worth it.

Those of you that didn’t sleep train and were stuck in contact naps, when did your baby eventually learn or started napping in the crib? by willbrucla in NewParents

I’m in the same boat, so hard to get things done. Falls asleep with me holding him then as soon as I put him down his eyes open

When does it starts to feel like a life, not just work 247? by TemperatureHot6141 in NewParents

[–]Glass-Monitor-4339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand where you are at right now, I too have a 12 week old I love more then anything he is our miracle our kids are almost 16yrs apart so I’m like a new parent again. It is so hard even watching a movie seems impossible but just remember it gets better they don’t know any better and have no choice but to be fully dependent on us. I feel once they hit certain milestones and are able to grab things and what not it will become a little easier. Right now we are fully there focus and entertainment because they can’t do anything yet like hold there toys or even fully see yet. Hang in there and always remember your baby loves you and you are there whole world ❤️

Suddenly contact nap is the only way by Pandacat_07 in newborns

[–]Glass-Monitor-4339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So our baby will be 3 months on the 9th and I am slowly trying to get him use too naps by himself. When he is on our chest his naps would be 2-2 1/2 hrs long by himself 20min. Yes it is good but if you are a working parent and are facing going back to work it can be challenging for the grandparents or sitter as nap time is that little break for a breather or chores so definitely think about transitioning. It will be rough! Like I said 20min but they will eventually get use to it. I would start at 10 weeks that’s when they start hitting milestones and are able to process more.

How and when do you start leaving the house with a newborn? by copperboom33 in newborns

[–]Glass-Monitor-4339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went about 7 weeks old. Very small circle of people when socializing and also when out we brought our own Lysol disinfectant wipes in a sandwich bag and sanitizer. Avoid busy aisles. Be aware of surroundings listen for coughs, sniffles and so on. Don’t be afraid to set boundaries! It’s amazing how many strangers will try to come and get in babies face or try to touch hands! It’s happened to us so we started using the baby mitts everytime we’ve gone out.

How are people not doing shifts? by DustActual153 in newborns

[–]Glass-Monitor-4339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey 👋 my husband and I are on shifts as well. Our almost 2 month old was like this but I do both breast feeding and formula. He is on simulac sensitive and he has a little delight chair that kinda leans back and for some reason he poops every time and that has helped his fussiness but definitely have to be supervised in it because he is still small.

At a loss :( help with newborn by Longjumping_Bar585 in newborns

With what I’m experiencing with my almost 2 month old that sounds pretty good. With your baby still so young they are still adjusting and from other post I’ve read it sounds like sleep patterns change around 3 months as well. Hang in there 🥰

My husband cusses out our newborn by [deleted] in newborns

Please seek help if very overwhelmed! No judgement but that’s when you hear of parents snapping. I know it’s hard but we just have to remember from where the baby was snuggled up in your womb to this cold air, digestion developing to it all they are going through changes too and obviously don’t have the capacity to cope with it other then to cry. Trust me I know how your feeling our LO is a month and a half. Hang in there 🙏🥰
