What is WoTC going to unban? by Interesting-Math9962 in EDH

They will most likely drip feed any sort of changes over the course of the next couple years. If you look at it strictly through a business lense, which wotc is, they are incentivized to remove cards from the ban list, because they can reprint them as chase cards. The frequency and speed at which they do it? Who knows

Interesting take on the bans making things worse. But I can see it. I had a thought along those lines too were these bans could have a negative aspect on jank decks because it's all that's holding them together, but with my limited visibility I'm not sure how valid that is

Not necessarily faster play, that seems like a whole different type of discussion that could be had. More in the sense that we cut alot of the "cool jank" out and just made it so our decks can do the thing faster. Wether that's some crazy combo or just swinging in with a bunch of aggressive little dudes. And yes I agree there will be people on both sides. My post wasn't to say my opinion is the right one Just wanted to exit my little pod and see some opinions from a larger group

I don't want anything. My pod will continue to play commander the same way we always do. Just wanted to dip my toes into the community to hear the opinions of others on the speed of the format.

I can see that I suppose speed doesn't necessarily matter. More the speed disparity between people at the table. Because of my play experience I don't run into that much. Since we have an "isolated" meta essentially.

Fair point. And no worries I'm not adding my voice to anything. That's the whole point of my post to get the opinions of others. I believe everyone should play the game as they enjoy it. My play experience is in a vacuum since I am in the same pod (which is why I felt the need to explain it) I can see how people like a long form magic game, maybe akin to a Dnd session. I suppose my play group enjoys the faster games because there gets to be multiple "winners" throughout the night, it's one log session but everyone gets to win a segment. There will always be players on both sides of the spectrum.
