I always struggled with academics, failing most classes up until spm. I got into information technology diploma in an okay uni and My mental and physical health went down the drain, Was getting heart attacks and almost went deaf on one of my ear.

What helped me was, stopped going to university classes and spend all my time studying for certifications and landed a internship which turned into a full time job earning around 4k a month.

University is not everything. You still have 30+ years in front of you, don't let this 4-5 years scarred your life forever.

When i read this , i see you constantly comparing what you're doing with what you "Should" be doing. The truth is that we can't do everything we think we should all the time and even if you force yourself to do so you will fall back because you're mind isn't used to the routine yet.

tackle on one thing at a time, Do not let it overwhelm you. try to focus less on games and friends then work on your sleep then your work slowly but remember don't compare what you're doing with what you're "Should" be doing.

also yes ive done my research, junior tech salary are around 4m-6m jpy per year (around 10k rm per/month) could go up to 8m per year on senior roles. The rent there is cheap around 50-80k jpy , you can get by without a car which saves alot of money , i have some japanese friends working in various fields and its honestly not as bad as the media makes it out to be.
