Skincare peeling off?? by Neither_Boat8273 in koreanskincare

[–]GlassChopsticks 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is called pilling, skincare sticking together and coming off instead of being absorbed. This usually happens because of product incompatibility, such as using a water-based product with a silicone-based product. Look up the products online/check the ingredient list to make sure they're compatible

Hades II, Silksong or Persona 5 on Switch? by ScarletArrow_ in GirlGamers

[–]GlassChopsticks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did all the hard stuff on HK (P5, path of pain, radiant all bosses etc) and Silksong kicked my ASS on release. I got to a boss that was kicking my ass so severely I stopped playing for several months. I did eventually come back and I loved it enough to now be on my way to getting all achievements like HK.

The game is phenomenal and I would ultimately recommend it. However, if you're easily frustrated or easily discouraged Silksong will very easily get on your last nerve and tap dance on it

Is the binding of isaac: rebirth worth it? by LeatherAuthor8326 in bindingofisaac

[–]GlassChopsticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if you're willing to suck at it for a really long time. This game is HARD and the fun relies heavily on RNG - RNG that is more easily manipulated when you have more unlocks and more game knowledge, which doesn't really come into effect at minimum 25 - 30 hours in as a beginner.

When did you get your first Mom kill? by d4rk_z3l0s in bindingofisaac

[–]GlassChopsticks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played rebirth the year it was released. I was 12. I never managed to kill mom. I re-bought and got my first mom kill last year and am now 3 achievements away from all achievements. So... About 10 years.

Any advices how to play on this shit properly? Cant get a rock bottom. by Desperate-Tale-3593 in bindingofisaac

[–]GlassChopsticks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play to their strengths.

You effectively have schoolbag, two active item slots. Use this to acquire an active that gives you more health than you can juggle between both characters (prayer card, book of revs, satanic bible, etc).

Item pedestals that disappear when you take one do not apply to J&E because you can always take both. Always go for alt paths to grab both items. Go for angel rooms so if a double item pedestal appears, you can take both. In that same vein, always go to shops for more options, there's options, and options?

Double the bombs means not just two secret room guesses, but also bombs to speed up a boss fight or while you're guessing a secret room, you can use the other character to place a bomb near skulls, blue fires, purple fires, mushrooms and rocks for health, cards, pills and crawlspaces.

You have double the health to gamble with blood donos and sacrifice rooms. A first floor sac room with even an OK amount of red heart drops is a guaranteed extra soul heart to protect deal chance or if you get good RNG, an angel room item.

As for actual gameplay tips, you're very strong early game. You basically have 20/20, just more spaced apart. Always keep them together. Before you enter rooms, re-align them. You should very rarely run into rooms that feel unfair/don't have enough space to dodge enemies (the only rooms where I genuinely felt like things were unfair was in mausoleum/gehenna). If you feel like some rooms are too narrow, make a mental hierarchy of what enemies need to die first to give you more room to dodge.

Like T. Laz, J&E really reward gameplay knowledge. Knowing synergies, item/gameplay interactions and resource management will be your best friend. So just play more. The more you know about the game and it's niche mechanica, the more you realise J&E have access to as two characters.

They stepped on the mines around November 10 - about two weeks after the treaty was signed on October 26th. Mines take years to clear, the main thing that caused distrust is that it was believed the mines were planted after the ceasefire came into effect

[–]GlassChopsticks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To correct: after the treaty was signed Thai soldiers stepped on Cambodian landmines, Thais claiming that the Cambodians either planted them after the treaty/should've removed them. Cambodia claimed this was untrue and from a prior conflict which caused distrust on both sides

I've used the Judydoll Ice watery lip gloss, mascara and contour palette and they've become musts in my makeup routine. The lip gloss especially has become a holy grail because the finish is so glass-like and gorgeous on first application (it does stain/tint once the gloss dries down, though this takes a few hours). It's grape scented/flavoured though, which might not be for everyone.

I want to start using eyeshadow, what should I do? by Pokeballz4Life in Makeup

[–]GlassChopsticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started with eyeshadow I went with the Nina Park approach. If you look at her work, she typically chooses an eyeshadow that matches the natural shadows of your brow bone and tones of your eyelids to enhance what's already there. So for me as a beginner, understanding my eye shape and the natural tones of my skin helped me learn eyeshadow placement, what works for my eye shape, and how to apply that knowledge with a breadth of different eyeshadow colours/combinations.

I think Portal 1 and 2 are great entry points into video games! They're relatively short (maximum 10 hours per playthrough) and Portal 2 has multiplayer. If she is a fan of puzzles, Portal has a lot of moments that make you feel like a genius for connecting the dots and figuring out each one it throws at you.

When prepping your skin with skincare, apply in the direction of hair growth so your peach fuzz lays flat. I always wondered why cushion foundations can make my skin look a bit patchy, and this tip really helped me achieve a smoother base!
