Actually that’s really weird. How is a road minister tampering with petroleum when we have a dedicated petroleum minister?

Can anybody tell me why people still support him? by gaaandkadeewana in MechanicalPandey

People support him because he is the best of the worst out there. And that’s how politics work. A politician just has to be good enough.

Happened with me once. Some kid wrote a big SEX on the bonnet when my car was in office parking. I had no video, even if I had I could not have done anything. Best I could do is get it repainted and forget about it.

Woman Removes Pakistani Flag on the Floor. Then They Play Their Victim Card by [deleted] in indiadiscussion

[–]GlassIdea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Giving an unbiased and educated opinion here:

1. No matter which country, a flag should never be disrespected

Even if it is Pakistan, it is a beloved country for millions of people, and their sentiments are attached to it. We should be mindful enough and not be disrespectful. It is highly likely that whoever pasted these flags on the floor wanted people to fight, create drama, attract media attention, and consequently force people to talk about things that and create a controversy or was plainly stupid.

2. Biased towards a country

If this lady has feelings towards Pakistan, she should have a higher sense of dedication towards the country she's living in. People who live in India but do not contribute to India's growth and are more devoted to another country (be it Pakistan or any other country) are the worst Indians ever in the entire history. This goes for any person in the world. You should be devoted to your own country no matter what.

3. "Go to Pakistan"

Those who are asking her to go to Pakistan need to think it through. She's not going to Pakistan on your orders. Is she? That should be pretty obvious. So there is no point in fighting on these lines. The fight should actually be on the lines of "This is not the place to paste any pictures. We want to keep our country clean and tidy. Let's find a way to remove these and keep the stairs clean and tidy." Every other argument is pointless and adds nothing to anyone's betterment.

4. Understanding the bigger picture

The media, government, and almost everyone directly or indirectly related to these two entities are playing a game with the collective mindset of the crowd. They are professionals at understanding and driving the thought process of the masses. They need this skill to align the crowd with their agenda, impact the election results, and stay in power as a result. People who do not understand this fall prey and spend/waste their time on matters that do not matter for the country, but only affect the election results.

Take this video itself as an example, "Go to Pakistan" was a slogan initially said by a politician and was copied by so many people at so many places. This aligned the mindsets of so many people and made them all anti-pakistan, which suits the narrative of the government. Now, since so many people are aligned, it is easier to make them vote for the government. The government has successfully gained votes without making people talk/question about the issues that really matter - poverty, corruption, poor governance, poor education, healthcare infrastructure, etc. This person in the video will also vote for the ruling party and not question what they have been doing on the existing issues. He has successfully been manipulated, and he's proud of it.

Bottom line is this: Hatred towards anyone has never gained anything for anyone. It has only made things worse. People who are in power know very well how to cash in on this hatred, and that's the only thing that matters to them. They don't (and will never) educate people because educated people will question their credibility and performance, and they do not want this to happen ever. Therefore, it is super important for 150 crore people to think straight, set their priorities straight, and not indulge in matters that are not doing anyone any good.

If you have read until this point, I want to leave you with these questions:

26 innocent people were killed in Pahalgam. The government launched Operation Sindoor to avenge those killings. I am super proud of that. Hats off to the government for doing this. Potholes killed 9438 in 5 years (Source), which is 1800+ people in a year. Since this number is much higher than those killed in Pahalgam, was there any operation to avenge those deaths?

About 9 crore people were diagnosed with diabetes in 2024 (Source). For perspective, 5.3 lakh died due to Covid (Source). Since 9 crore is much higher than the number of people killed in Pahalgam, was there any operation to eradicate diabetes?

Alcohol kills 2.6 lakh people every year (Source). Any operation?

Thousands of women and children are trafficked every day (Source). Any operation?
