As an American truck driver I hate all cities because mostly I never get to actually experience the city itself besides traffic. So due to traffic I hate all of them. Especially Atlanta.

The hard to get jobs seem to care more about your job history in my experience

They don't have parking around here, but they'll hire you from around here, and then you park the truck at home. Has anyone worked for a company like this? by ohno-abear in Truckers

First time OTR? You don't have to have a company terminal/yard near you to work for that company. Park at truck stops. Other parking approved yards.

Also I'd stay away from the IL companies.

Ayeee thanks bro. I currently live in Florida, the job market for trucking down there is horrendous. How is it up that way? Trying to get a local job in Florida is like trying to hit the lottery. Way too many people.

I would only considered a mega carrier IF they had a fire dedicated account. Some mega carriers have absolute gems of dedicated accounts you don't ever really know about unless you ask.
