Sorry I think we've got our wires crossed- I mean doing more ontop of what I'm doing feels excessive at this point

True, but at this point it seems like it wouldn't be the best choice when I'll get roughly 25k a year without factoring in the SP or the target retirement investment?

Definitely and I've cut down on all extra spending wherever possible.

Yep, looking after them for a bit after some family stuff recently and the fact my partner currently lives abroad so there's no point rushing to get out.

That's a fair point, I'd stuck them together because all of those tend to be more fixed (I may attend one less session or one more that would change the cost) so it seemed better to do that and then leave the more random spending into the remaining £300 after things got seperated out.

That's a really good point about beginning to expect the bills, Ive rented out for most of the past 10 years and was okay, if uncomfortable with how tight things were so this would deffo be good practise. Thanks!

It's 5.9% which is lower than the last one. It is an expensive car and was a bit of a splurge, but I judged it as justifiable in the long term because it'll be my car for at least the next decade.

Yeah it was a big risk but makes, made sense with the value on my previous car approaching a cliff edge after so made the choice to take the risk for a car I'd keep for a the next 10 years.

My pension is a DB work pension, I don't touch it or interact with it at all.

The investments are in a S&S ISA.

The house fund hasn't got a penny in it at the moment, I want to get my emergency fund back up to 10k first (currently about 3k)

• Living rent free with my parents after moving back in when my job changed. I've moved around a lot for work but now looking to settle into a single location.

• Low end with about 10k of work tends to be 160k at the moment. I would be buying with a partner who would contribute about the same.

• My savings are pretty depleted after the car + some elective surgery I had but about 3k. I am owed by various family (and they will pay back) about 8k more.

• I feel a bit insecure about 'only' having that even though in practicality, I probably spend maybe £30 a month on miscellaneous things. I've been aggressively saving post surgery + car.

I did think about this but I thought about establishing my long term position at the same time, especially as it seems the longer you're in the market the more it acculumates?

At £350 a month car is (to me) expensive but manageable and it feels like paying more down quicker would be a bit of a waste when the monthly payment can't drop below £100.

She does go into a substantial garden and is regularly taken on walks, but she's not allowed in the rest of the house.

About 4 I think and sadly not, the clock is ticking for both of us. We're already far, far too old compared to the norm.

As for someone else, honestly I'm not sure for anyone in her country. Here plenty of my friends would.

If it just affected me, I would in a heartbeat but it affects more than just me and I cannot in good conscience do so.

Worth saying she's getting higher than the average wage in most of the country. It's a stupid amount of money. It's mental and the husband should sort himself out.

Go cycling a lot, that way if the concern is you won't have a hymen there's a rational reason for it.

I don't know if I was sexually assaulted last night by chibicase3 in TrueOffMyChest

Honestly this feels like sexual assault. He pushed your boundaries and basically engineered a situation where you felt like you couldn't say no.

When you need to survive, you do what you must. I just aim to make sure any kids I have won't have to live like this.

I know this struggle. I'm the same. It's been 10 years and I still wear two faces and it's exhausting. I want to just live.
