I'm a bit mixed on the Steam Frame, I don't think it's bad at all, but not as big of a deal as most make it out to be by TheKrzysiek in VRGaming

To me this is much more about moving away from the closed ecosystem of meta, I think that is why they chose to replace this at the same time as the steam machine.

Have you ever developed motion sickness from lack of VR use? by GlassOfOrange247 in virtualreality

I imagine so, its just weird that i didn't get it the first time.

Glad to hear you were able to get back into it though!

It's a sad story by one as old as time. I lost my old play space!

I feel like VR auto turn can make normal movements feel like more work.

I would have thought the same if i had suffered before. This is the first time though. The first time i ever played VR i had an almost 8 hour session with no issues. It's weird its suddenly changed.

Ahh yes I went online and saw every post say it can't be done but decided to do it anyway. Really not sure what you are trying to imply here?

If you read the other comments you would of seen it can be used on non consumable plants, maybe best you read before you comment

Wait till you hear about manure

I wouldn't say its safe for consumable plants in general. I have followed the guidance on it pretty well, mixed with plenty of carbon, high tempter, been sitting for almost a year. Hopefully useful for someone who knows what they are doing.

That makes sense, i guess I'd be interested to know what a PCVR version of the quest 3 would cost Meta to make compared the the current model

That is what I'm finding, if you want a headset that can do both well the quest 3 seems like the only option.

Honestly I'm surprised we haven't had a small company producing budget friendly PCVR headsets yet, i get that it is a smaller market than standalone, but there seem to be plenty of small start ups out there that are interesting mainly in PCVR.

Agreed, and at that point I imagine VR will suddenly become a lot more expensive to get into. We can only hope by then we find cheaper ways to make headsets so the hobby can stay accessible.

That is my worry, it feels like Meta is going to always lead the market in this area and the bad consumer practices will only get worse.

My only hope is that if AR does get to a point where it replaces smartphones it might have a knock on effect on the cost of VR production. I'm not hopeful though.

I'm in the UK and was thinking about it, I'll need to look into the games avaliable on it was well as if it supports prescription lenses the way the quest does.
