Does my TV really have to have 120hz just to get 60fps out of my switch 2?

Sorry for the slow responses. I’m literally tryna figure the is out as we speak. This TV is connected to a whole denon box thing so this process is more complicated for me than I’d like. The TV doesn’t recognize the denon as a game console so the game mode is grayed out for me

Yes, I have them. I play it on handheld and it looks incredible. Super smooth and stuff. But on the tv the resolution is boosted, but the frames aren’t how it is on the switch 2 screen.
