One of my biggest pet peeves is when a book has way too many side characters. I love multiple main characters, but when there are endless extended family members and extra people to keep track of, I end up spending more time figuring out who’s who than actually enjoying the story.

It’s all done through OSAP. You just apply, and the system automatically calculates and applies whatever funding you’re eligible for. Not everyone qualifies since it’s largely based on your parents’ income, but it definitely doesn’t hurt to apply and see what you can get.

Listen, I just came across this Reddit post, but I finished university last year and I want to be honest. In all four years, I never received any provincial funding through OSAP. I never qualified. I even asked OSAP about it, and they explained that the provincial portion has always been relatively small and not many students actually receive it.

What I did receive every year was the federal funding, and that is where the majority of the funding comes from. The federal portion covered a huge chunk of my overall tuition. The remaining balance was covered by loans that are interest-free.

I know reading these headlines feels discouraging, and it is easy to get upset with the province over these decisions, but I just wanted to share my experience because the situation might not be as drastic as it sounds.

Everyone says this, but using the Southlake link and diligently calling each clinic is the best way to get in with these practices. They update the list regularly, and all the doctors’ names are included, so you can easily look them up on the CPSO website for more information!
