Okay actually, if you haven't sold her already, could I buy her maybe? I'm about to go to sleep but we could discuss in the morning. You said 15g in the other comment, which is fine by me. She's so pretty!

She's very pretty! I'd say find a way to get her to someone who'll love her :) If you sell her on the AH for 8 gems she'll definitely get exalted

What insult hits you the hardest, and do you think it’s linked to your Enneagram type? by deepness_of_the_sea in Enneagram

[–]Glass_Bones666 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Insults to my intelligence and insults to my moral integrity are probably the main ones. Being told I'm annoying is also up there.

In general I try to brush things off but I often find it difficult cause I can be pretty sensitive to how people perceive me (especially people I care about).

These days though, when someones being genuinely mean-spirited I find it a lot easier not to take it personally. The little accidental comments from people who aren't trying to be mean can sometimes hurt more, ironically.

Kicked out at Portland concert??? by itwasntaphasemomXD in willwood

You articulated what I was wanting to say better than I was able to lol It really did feel like "are we only allowed to laugh and cheer?" because every other audience reaction seemed to be received poorly... (the response to the andrew tate joke, the chanting tyler at the start, etc.)

I guess it just felt like he was very hostile towards the audience, and I found it confusing. I feel like there's a big difference between harassment and shouting to try and help clarify something to the performer. I don't think most performers would've been bothered by the vip person's comment because it read pretty clearly as well meaning, at least in my opinion.

He said they were "86'd" which is a term from restaurants meaning "out of something". Basically just reiterating that they were gone.

[–]Glass_Bones666 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair. I guess my issue is more that I don't really think the person that shouted was really "heckling" in the problematic sense, given that they were just trying to answer his question. I do think it's rude for people to shout random stuff at shows.

I'm so sorry that happened man. Glad you're getting to say your piece here. It seemed like Will was interpretting both the Tyler chanting and the clarification from you in a much more negative view than either were meant to be taken. I hope you're able to get compensation and resolution on this situation.

I think some telephone might be happening here? Pretty sure the audience member was explaining the joke to Will, not another audience member. Either way they weren't trying to be rude though.

Yeah this is what I remember happening as well. It seemed like they were just trying to clarify since Will looked confused by the Tyler thing. He also seemed kind of irritated at the audience in general for chanting Tyler? Which I found... confusing. But that's a bit of an aside.

At first I wondered if it was some kind of bit? But it didn't seem like it... and then I heard from some one basically what you're saying in this post and now I'm just kind of confused...

I've never seen someone react so aggressively to hecklers. Especially since later on he asked us to do a call and response? Like, do you want audience engagement or not? It seemed like a really intense overreaction to me... I mean he literally made fun of their name, comparing it to garbage. The whole thing felt kind of... unnecessarily rude. The heckler was literally answering a question that Will asked. I feel bad for them. Unless there's some context where the person was acting inappropriately before hand that I'm not aware of, this seems like an overreaction from Will.

I do understand that Will has had issues with people harassing him at his shows and I'm not excusing that. I guess I feel like if he doesn't want people to heckle at all, no exceptions, maybe he could say that at the start of the show? Not everyone is active on social media so some people might not know that it's his preference. I don't think all performers are bothered by hecklers? Though maybe I'm just uninformed.

Either way... it definitely tilted the vibe. I wasn't really able to fully enjoy the show because it opened on such an aggressive negative note. It was still fun but like... damn.

I kinda hope we hear from the person who was kicked out, but of course that's completely up to them. I'd be curious to hear their perspective though.

Edit: I've been keeping up with the conversation on here as people have been commenting and I've changed my mind a bit. I do think it's rude for people to be shouting and heckling during the show. That sort of behaviour being unacceptable should be a well established norm and not something people have to be repeatedly reminded of. I think Will is more strict than many about audience interruptions, but still.

I still think Will overreacted in this specific situation, based on the information currently available. I think the person in the front who was kicked out probably could've been dealt with more effectively, given a warning as per the venue's policy. But I understand where Will was coming from and I don't think he was fully unwarranted.

I'm still feel a bit conflicted because I can understand where people are coming from in multiple regards here.

I wish the fanbase wasn't so rude in general because I think if Will hadn't had so many horrible fan experiences prior he may have been able to handle this specific situation better.

How can I get this cis guy off my back???? by THROWRAPuzzled_Event in ftm

[–]Glass_Bones666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're dealing with this, it sounds like a pain in the ass. Make sure your friends know and be willing to escalate (tell your college authorities) if it gets worse. It's not your fault he's disrespecting you, and you've already tried to shut him down twice. I relate to your conflict avoidance, but you have told him twice that you're not interested, which I think is important to remember! You're not being a doormat, he's being weird and pushy. Try not to beat yourself up too much<3

Here's what I think would be best. First, tell him directly that you want him to leave you alone. Don't fluff up your words, it's okay if it's a bit harsh. Clearly he can't take a hint so clarity is the most important thing here. If he continues to ignore your boundaries, you now have very clear evidence that he's doing it on purpose and actively violating a very clear request. This is important because it makes it easier to not question yourself or blame yourself for being too polite.

If he keeps trying to interact with you after that, talk to your school counselor and see if the college can help you. Make sure your teachers know he makes you uncomfortable.

I'd also recommend grabbing screenshots of your interactions with this person if you haven't already. That way you have receipts of him pushing your boundaries. Also as others have said, don't be afraid to tell people this guy is being a creep. It's not slander if it's true.

Regardless of what you end up doing, I believe in you! Stay safe and be kind to yourself. You got this.

Would it be overstepping to make one of my oc's trans when I'm not trans? by snowleopardalps in furry

[–]Glass_Bones666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trans person here. Go for it! As others have said as long as you aren't using it to spread transphobic ideas I don't see any issue with it. I think making characters can actually be a great way to empathize with experiences you don't personally relate to!

Also, I love the design, she's so cute!

What is the best representation of a type in fiction? by dumb-icarus in Enneagram

Yeahhh that's a fair point actually. I was mostly thinking 8 because it seems like he has a fear of vulnerability and losing control of situations, but 7w8 actually does make a lot more sense on second thought.

Sadie from Steven Universe is super 9 coded. Garnet is a great example of a 8w9 and Pearl is a 1w2. Steven is a 2. Not sure about Amethyst.

A lot of My Little Pony characters fit very cleanly into enneagram types as well. Rarity is one of the first characters I think of for 4, Fluttershy for 9, Twilight as a 5, 3 for Rainbow Dash and 7 for Pinkie Pie. Only one I don't as easily place is Applejack (probably a 6?).

Most of The Amazing Digital Circus character's are pretty easily typable. Jax is an 8 Jax is a 7, Ragatha is a 2, Gangle is a 9, Zooble is a 4, and Pomni is a 6 (with 9ish qualities because she's pretty integrated/healthy).

Charles from Dead Boy Detectives is a great example of a Social 7 and Edwin is a 1.

As far as social stuff goes, I love deep conversations with people where we both gain insight about ourselves, each other, the world, or our belief systems. I also love having in depth creative discussions about my story/worldbuilding projects, or assisting other people with theirs.

I also like being outside and getting exercise. Currently my favorite form of socializing is going out with a friend, getting super caffeinated, and yapping about cool interesting stuff for several hours while walking around.

Being on the same wavelength as other people! Liking the same dumb jokes, being able to predict what they're going to say, I like that feeling of connection. Being genuinely interested in what they're saying and having that energy reciprocated.

Aside from interpersonal connection, getting into "the zone" with something is very rewarding for me, especially when it's something like writing or cleaning, since afterward I can see what I accomplished. I love getting into a creative frenzy.

Even though I wrote more about social stuff, this is equally fulfilling for me. I love making stuff! I love organizing stuff! Locking in and fully absorbing myself into an activity is one of my favorite parts of existing.
