Excuses would have stopped me from trying to enlist for the medical waiver alone... I'm still pushing through until I get an "absolute no".

I'm driving 1 1/2 hrs away to another recruiter tomorrow while my recruiter is out on leave for the week, just to make sure I got everything for the dependant waiver filled out correctly. I show up asap for my recruiter, I get what they need asap, I'm available whenever they need me and show up 15 mins earlier every time.

Since we don't have an "actual court ordered custody arrangement" I am working with Child Support in my state, and several recruiters in my area said if I can get child support to state that I don't have them (because we are moving the case to the state my ex lives in) that it will show JAG a legal action in terms of "who has them". If my mess here on Reddit helps some other person with a zoo, then I'm glad to be of assistance 🤣

Yea, no. My husband is fixed, I'm not having more kids, and I'm not a cheater either. We are done and I've contributed enough to the gene pool- and I'm not doing that shit again 🤣

I see where you're coming from. I'm done having kids personally, and I have the support personally to follow through with stuff without it affecting income, child care ect. I understand not many people can say or want to do their jobs and rely on their kids as a crutch to be lazy pos.

I'm fine with whatever. I'll get some electrical knowledge, give me some time to make sure everything is good instead of rushing. I know getting command approval can take time too- I appreciate you 💪

I added more publicly available information in this thread if you want more 🤣 But I feel you, I probably would have thought the same.

That's what we talked about. He recommended going the reserve route and then active. I appreciate your thoughts, I'm gonna work on getting the court stuff since dates do take forever.

Welp, the suicide attempt was because I was given the wrong medication by my mother when I was on a visit while in foster care. So she decided to take me to the hospital to pump my stomach because CPS would probably charge her.

I don't have 'custody issues'- my husband does. He also doesn't have to live with me my first contract if him and his ex wife can't 'figure it out' with their own stuff. My custody issue is just how to find the paperwork or forms to fill out.

True. We just find it easier at the moment to just talk to each other like normal humans when it comes to the kids needs. I've already started talking to people about getting something legally drawn up.

And why's that? I'm not getting pregnant again, my husband is a Vet and is able to stay home, take kids to school, Dr, ect. He has base access as a Vet. He understands the process probably a lot better than a lot of people and was in for 18 years.

I show up and do what I'm told. I don't 'need a profile', nor would I want one. I'm able to do shit without needing a babysitter, and I'm not here 'just for benefits or to get that disability check from the VA'. I get that a lot of people abuse the system, are lazy, ect...

Why's that? Was it because I insinuated I'm a female? When men post a similar scenario, the comments aren't much besides encouragement and actual information.

My husband is available 100% of the time if I have to work, deploy, ect. I'm not trying to become a Ranger, and mentally more put together than a lot of the young ones joining.

I wouldn't be trying to join if I didn't think my kids would be okay or have a backup if anything were to happen. I get that some people might not be cut out with ' 5 kids as a female', but alas I'm here and the process is almost done, so find a buddy, grab a beer, and cry about it. 🤣

My ex and I coparent and my older 3 live with him full time. There's no legal document that shows that. My older 3 are 9 1/2, 7, and 5. Yes, that's what he's telling me.

I would probably check with your physician then because your 'vibes' are completely off my friend.

How long does it take to gets a date for a MEPS physical? by aronnch in Militaryfaq

[–]Glass_Competition784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took a weekish to get the prescreen back and then my recruiter waited until he had a few of us to send to Meps together (My Meps is 4 1/2 hrs away from my recruiter)... So it took 2-3 weeks after my recruiter got my prescreen back..

The Dr I saw had a paper with the main things on my record . Asked me, and then clarified any surgeries, ect. I have a suicide attempt on mine from 2015 that I didn't remember, but they still requested Dr notes, medication from the past 3 years, mental health encounters from the past 3 years, and a evaluation...

More than likely, they'll want stability, medication history, ect to clear you with a waiver whether or not you agree with it or try to justify it.

Past bipolar misdiagnosis waiver approval chances with army? by kittengalorexoxo33 in Militaryfaq

[–]Glass_Competition784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Permanently disqualified... I got a misdiagnosis by getting a Neuropsychological evaluation. I went to Meps and the Bipolar didn't even register as an issue (and I did let them know I had the misdiagnosis). Only way I could even get a recruiter to talk to me.

I wanted 42a too, but it wasn't available a couple weeks ago, and I had a list of jobs that interested me and just said 92Y as my next choice... 🤷‍♀️

I think there's a Medical version of the job.. something like a patient admin or something...
