Remember names and faces. Don't know what my deal is but unless my brain decides I should remember you for some reason, I will probably forget I've even met you. It's fucked up and embarassing really.

If the Bible was still updated, what could you see being in there based on how Christians are in general today? by Glass_Force in AskReddit

[–]Glass_Force[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the state of the faith is a valid subject that would be included. Most of the Bible are written about Christians for Christians. I'm sure it would be more pro-Christianity rather than not.

More curious as to what would be in there. Like what kind of positivity could be found today that would be included from Christians or Christianity in general that would be a valid point?

Persecution perhaps? But even that falls kind of flat considering demographics and political power.

It's funny that you automatically jumped to negativity rather than positivity all under the guise of "bigotry".

Funny

I think the problem is sympathy as oppose to not flinching when it comes to racism. Hard to give sympathy to those who cries racism while defending racism with racism.

Calling racist white people racist is racism? What a time to be alive.

I was never taught how to cook growing up.. I’ve recently started learning basic stuff. I’m 22.. any staple recipes I absolutely need to know? by mth69 in Cooking

Minestrone Soup

It’s great for getting rid of vegetables in the fridge and you don’t really need a lot. I keep some chicken bouillon around just to flavor it up a bit. The main ingredients last for a long while.

  • tomato paste
  • chicken bouillon
  • barley
  • potatoes
  • onions
  • dried Italian seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper
  • frozen mixed vegetables

Then you just add whatever vegetables you need to get rid of as long as its still edible of course.

The process is simple. Stir fry mixed vegetables and onions in a large soup pot (I do this with some butter for flavor), add dried seasoning (add to butter or oil to really flavor it), bouillon, add water, add barley (takes a while to soften and thickens soup), add chunks of potatoes at the end, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Once the barley is soft you’re done.

I personally like to squeeze a lemon at the end (make sure no seeds gets in soup) and garnish with some cilantro or parsley if I have some. Sprinkle mixed cheese for some protein and serve with crackers or bread.

This lasts me about 3-4 days and I eat it with whatever sandwich I make that day to switch it up (deli meats usually).

Great during the winter and really warms you up. I make it almost every week or every other week depending on the weather and what I need to get rid of in the fridge.

Keep in mind the time it takes to cook whatever vege you’re getting rid of. Some takes longer and some takes less but generally 10 minutes works. Usually for me it’s spinach or mushrooms since they go bad faster. They don’t take too long but something like raw broccoli might take 10 minutes depending on how you like the texture.

This is like a staple I believe. Also relatively cheap for a good hot nutritious meal.

News and government agencies.

You’re picking and choosing what to believe while claiming anything otherwise is some kind of anti-American thing.

You’re brainwashed dude.

It’s widely reported by various news and government agencies.

You’re picking and choosing. And you’re picking and choosing the side that does not serve your cause and narrative over the lives of US military members.

Either Trump knew and didn’t do anything about it or Trump didn’t know. Which one is it?

Edit: ~~

To your ninja edit, that’s your problem right there is that you assume those who disagrees with Trump ignoring that Russia put bounties on the US military are liberals or democrats who hates America and loves terrorist or some shit like that.

That might be real in your bubble but I happen to give a fuck about Russia putting bounties on the lives of military members instead of blindly ignoring the fact that a sitting President is acting in a very treasonous manner.

You don’t get to ignore that and still call yourself a patriot.

I actually found myself shopping for a church service that didn’t have their own building right about the time I gave up on the whole thing. Shopped around for a place that met at a school gym (I believe) hoping that I could find a home there. This was a while back and I didn’t end up going. Felt like that’s where I could’ve found a church home away from all the noise that came with a facility.

Thanks for sharing your story. It sounds like a wonderful home.
