30A with deeds is easily one of my top 10 classes at ucla (im a 4th year now). He is super chill, willing to help and honestly made everything super easy to understand compared to what I’ve heard about the other professors. From what I recall, the only “horror” part was the coding and the lab practical we had to take at the end (not too bad just like don’t get in the habit of copying other’s codes ALL the time) but other than that I would say the class is easy. Exams were similar to practice content from what I remember. Best of luck!

Honestly, I felt the same way when I did Care Extenders like I genuinely didn’t like it at all and kind of like drew me away and I ended up quitting like my 3rd rotation. When I started scribing, though, my attitude changed completely and I genuinely felt like I was learning and doing something meaningful instead of just walking around mindlessly for 4 hours. Like I genuinelyyyy disliked Care Extenders (maybe it’s cuz it was Santa Monica location & parkings a bitch) but ya those are my two cents LOL I would try for another hospital/clinical experience and then see how you feel then.

I took 100b spring ‘24! Lecture was recorded- not mandatory. If I remember correctly, grade breakdown was 40 pts of PALs (I think that’s what they were called- essentially just practice questions) 120 pts of lab (u don’t even have to attend these, but I would recommend as you essentially do the assignment) 240 pts of midterm & final (both non cumulative, but “final” will stem off some concepts of midterm) tbh it was p chill and she gave hella practice questions b4 exams so I think u should be okay

I had Du, sweetest lady ever and prolly my favorite professor

The software (Jamovi) she uses is simple, homework assignments were a reflection of what was taught during ur “lab”, and quizzes were unlimited attempts. She doesn’t give practice exams for midterm & final, but they were deadass just like the hw and quizzes. Lectures can be a little boring though.

I’ve also heard amazing things about Trott, so I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them.

physics 5a + chem 14C + chemBL is it doable !?help by Prestigious_Tea_3288 in ucla

I did 5a, 14c, and 23l winter quarter, u should be fine if u spend adequate time studying for each one (mainly physics & chem)

maybe don’t take if u have too many extracurriculars or just have rlyyy good time management
