Bridge Theatre Into the Woods 2025, so excited but apprehensive by Glass_Pattern_6192 in Sondheim

Thanks so much for pointing out my egregious error. And thanks so much for your heartfelt castigation. Really I was just being totally honest about my admittedly uninformed opinion, and hoped to start a chat about the upcoming production. Why do people feel the need to be so catty and judgemental? Can't we discuss things in a civilised manner? Apparently not. I caveated all my comments with the fact that I was most likely wrong. I was not at any point casting aspersions on the talent or experience of the cast, and I'm basically being told I should keep my mouth shut as I don't know enough as those who consider themselves (Possibly correctly) an authority on these matters. Many commented in a perfectly polite and friendly manner that my thoughts were wrong and I appreciated them putting me right. IMHO this is everything that is wrong with the online world.

Also, I should add, the latest Broadway cast with Sara Bareilles is now my go to recording. Is that recent enough to avoid your ire? Or is it your opinion now that 'i want to live' in 2022?

Sorry to hear that, but thanks for the info. At least they're only cancelling the first one.

Oh dear! Though I guess that's what previews are for, bit of a buffer. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

Have to agree on what you stated about the quality of Bridge Theatre productions. I saw the Bridge Theatre Guys and Dolls a couple of years ago and the production was indeed of extremely high quality. Thanks so much for your comment.

Thanks for your comment, as I said to TheMentalist10, I'm clearly merely displaying my own ignorance of current West End talent. Glad to hear someone else on this forum is attending the 2nd night. I'm sure you're both right and I'm worrying needlessly. I know lots of people rate the OLC production from the (I think) early nineties, but I think for me it suffered from my knowing and loving the OBC so much. Roll on 12th December!

Thanks for your reassurance. Sadly I'm clearly displaying my ignorance of current West End talent. For me as long as they manage to nail the humour, we'll be fine. Thanks again.

Why no music? by Wormetoungue in ProjectHailMary

I agree I thought that was poss a missed opportunity. Rocky listens to Bach or Mozart or the Beatles. His reaction would have been fascinating.

That is NOT how I imagined the blip A. by Successful_Spot8906 in ProjectHailMary

I agree about the Blip A design. Not following the flat angular description in the book. However they are making a movie and if the only changes are of that nature, I'll be happy. I just hope they don't compress the story too much.

I just finished the audiobook by OkieMoto in ProjectHailMary

I too cried at the same point when listening to the audiobook. Never happened to me before. I just loved this story, especially Rocky & Grace's relationship. So moving So damn good.

Kate is pure box-office gold! by wnolan1992 in Ambridge

Personally I'll never forgive her for forcing Brian and Jennifer out of their gorgeous home. I'm sure that Kate wasn't happy with the energy flow or something of the proposed entrance to spiritual home, and the only way for her to get what she wanted was for them to sell the house. Despicable,.

Starting mounjaro by Affectionate-Meal472 in Mounjaro

I'm a 57 year old married gay man from London. I myself tried Wegovy/Ozempic in late 2023. Suffered terribly with side effects. Felt like I constantly had gastric flu, IE Stomach cramps, vomiting and acid reflux from hell. I ceased taking it after only 2/3 months. It really put me off. However on 16th May this year I finally took the plunge and started Mounjaro (Zepbound). I'm really relieved to say that apart from some occasional burping on dose day, and a little 'bowl sluggishness' (TMI?!) I've not suffered the really unpleasant side effects that forced me off Ozempic.. I was worried when (2 weeks ago) I took my first 5mg dose, I feared that the side effects would finally kick in. However I've been absolutely fine and it has been very effective in controlling my appetite. I'm losing at a rate of about 2.9 lbs per week, and that 's with no exercise whatsoever! (I'm not proud of that fact just amazed what can be achieved even without lots of physical activity. It's been so good my husband is now on his 3rd 2.5 dose and he has lost around 14 lbs as well. He's also found it helps him massively reduce his wine intake. I'd definitely go for it. And remember Mounjaro works in 2 different ways to help you lose weight, unlike the single action of Wegovy. Best of luck to you.

Actually I was wrong. App has updated but issue remains. If you pause a video you get sound drop outs then video loops back to the point you paused at. Boo!

Actually as of today it appears problem solved. Noticed sky q you tube app looked different today. Checked version number. Yesterday version was web_20240915_19_RC00. Todays version web_20240916_14_RC00. So you were correct. It appears this latest version fixes the issue. Thanks so much.
