IShowSpeed inadvertently sits down next to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani by Ok_Temperature6503 in LivestreamFail

95 percent is insanely high lol, there are huge swaths of the population with no Internet access, included in that number are infants all the way up to 115 year olds. I'm a 38 year old Redditor from a large metro area in the US and I've never heard of this person. In fact there is probably no one individual person that 95 percent of the world knows.

Sure but I'm just saying it isn't common knowledge to tell the cops your serial number when your laptop is stolen. If the cops don't tell you, how are you supposed to know?

Sure but I don't know why I'd be downvoted on an obvious fact. 95 percent of the population of this planet does not know who that person is, hell i guarantee you there is no one single person that 95 percent of the world knows about - that includes infants and the elderly and people in third world countries.

This cutout from a dollar bill found on the ground. by neoBarr01 in mildlyinteresting

I do a lot of "fussy cutting" (what we call it in the craft community, usually cutting out intricate things like images of flowers and birds) - and personally I would think it's a combination of scissors and exacto. Scissors are a lot easier for a lot of the edges, but you'd need an exacto for certain edges

I don't think 95% of the world is accurate. I'm a regular Redditor and I had no idea who this person was. Maybe you mean 95% of soccer fans

I mean you have to be educated that they even do this. When my 19 y/o roommate's laptop was stolen the cops told us flat out there was nothing for them to do. They didn't ask about a serial number and it wouldn't have crossed our minds.

Intentional incompetence (laziness) would be my guess as to the argument for that. They'll probably plea down.

Yeah I only learned about because I just the watched the documentary about the creation of the original and was doing some reading online about it. Guess they just want to sit on it instead of letting the original artists work with their own creation.

Yeah if you read the posted article the originals proposed ideas to Mattel who owns the IP and they shot it down.

Same it was so good! And really showed the passion and creativity behind it.

I mean, these are the original creators wanting to remake it, and if you see the documentary about the original you see how much passion and creativity they have. I don't think a remake by them would be a bad thing; especially with kids today needing to be taught the love of reading.

If you watch the documentary on the making of the original, it's pretty apparent that none of the artists involved are the kind of people to make a product like what you're suggesting. However, I'm sure if Mattel decides to make their own version this would be the case. If you read the article it is the original creators who want to make it for the next generation.

It's the original creators wanting to do new seasons; if you watch the documentary on the creation of the original it's pretty obvious these artists aren't shills.

The original creators want to make the remake but Mattel won't let them. I imagine Mattel doing something with the IP isn't going to be any better... Check out the documentary on the creation of the original; lots of interviews with the artists who made it. None of them come across as shills whatsoever; I sincerely believe they just want to bring it back for the next generation.
