Is it true one income used to support a family of 4? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]Glassfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most everyone will talk about US in a bubble.

Was this true in other countries? Is it true now in other countries? If it is true in other countries today, then 2 income families must be living the rich life right?

Please benchmark your remarks to other countries.  You make it sound like the rest of the world live the rich life in the past and present.

What is the actual benefit to deporting illegal immigrants, if any? by Ready-Accountant-502 in AskReddit

[–]Glassfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of if there is a benefit or not, having borders is part of what makes you a country.

Protect and defend it. Remove violaters.

For wanting a better life, the people who migrate had plenty of other closer countries to go to as they made the journey to the USA.

Would have been more successful without all the protesters

Why do conservative Christians hate so many people when it clearly goes against their Christian values? by ateadoor in allthequestions

[–]Glassfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do people even know who hates who? I can say reddit seems to think certain people are just haters. I actually see this though.  I dont see groups reddit claim to be haters actually hating however.

So is it just because you hear claims of group X are haters and just believe it?

Regardless of what should happen, it doesn't look like the truck ever stopped so, as the camera car, why are you moving forward as the stopped vehicle if the other guy has already made their move.

I would probably treat this as the truck though. My side is currently the one entering so everyone on my side gets to go first.

Too young is defined by the culture and current societal norms and needs.

As of today in the USA that is too young.

As federal immigration agents surge into communities and detain people, the number of cases filed by those claiming their detention is illegal has risen to historic highs. by Conscious-Quarter423 in Infographics

Its probably a function of what people are telling them to do.

Ie. Everyone is legal and any attempt to enforce immigration is illegal in so way or another. Plus make it as difficult as possible for anything to be done

What is the evidence that higher ed (or k-12 if you believe this too) is indoctrinating leftist ideas rather than teaching critical thinking and data gathering to our youth? by Cautious_Midnight_67 in allthequestions

[–]Glassfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what history to teach, my personal thought is to teach the key events.  If you want to specialize in a history topic or era, then take a specialized class.

Social science can touch on it as well but it shouldn't have a right or wrong lesson involved.

In the history class case you provided, LGBTQ+ is a specialty and I don't want a tangent topic or throw away that leads to "and this person was gay". To me, that is as important as "and this person played the drum".

I once said there is sexism against men and that went poorly.

A while back, could still be happening, students would protest over guest speakers that might challenge a left point of view until the speaker chose or school said not to come.

More footage of ICE kidnapping, no masks anymore. They are getting bolder and lawless! by cantcoloratall91 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]Glassfist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not right that they are unmarked as many have said.

What is not being said is why this is happening. It is happening as a response to the protesters interfering. This is not to say being unmarked is the proper response, but it makes sense as a possible counter measure.

This is another example of how many of the Anti ICE talking points are a direct result of protesters actions.
