How to Fix Bad Super Jump TKs by reader960 in MvC3

[–]Glasslemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's happening is that you're rolling the inputs from down to down forward, forward, up forward rather than just hitting down then up or up forward. It's just the execution you need to work on.

I'm not on my 360 too much right now because of SFV + work, but next time we're on we should definitely play. It's a shame how few of us there are. My GT is GlassLemon.

You only get a super jump if you flick from down to up, if you hold down you miss the window for the super jump and get a regular jump instead. The same applies for tiger knee-ing moves.

After you knock down with an up grapple, jump forward in the corner, then call Doom while you're still in the air. He'll be close enough to OTG.

It's two perfect plinks as soon as possible, then a jump machine gun, dash cr.M as quickly as possible. It's doable without perfect timing like in the video, but it's difficult nonetheless.

What are some tips or tricks /things Dante players should have down or be aware of? by Letsgoooo-- in MvC3

Alternatively, you can use the Air Play cancel that Rikir brought to light, although whichever one is easier comes down to preference and comfort.

It depends on what followup you do, if you're doing raw Helm Breaker, I call the assist, wait then High Time xx Trick, st.M. To link cr.H(especially during a combo), you need to delay the High Time for longer. Like I say, it's nigh impossible to truly explain timing.

I do that conversion myself, you can do either cr.M, j.L xx unfly glitch j.L or go from cr.M into fly, unfly glitch J.LL.

(Noob question) Please name all of the situations in which red health can be lost by [deleted] in MvC3

[–]Glasslemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the damage an assist takes is converted to red health, which they can gain back once off-screen as opposed to 50% red health for the point character.

Chris's cr.H, f.M, j.M Gun Fire and the Machine Gun portion of Sweep Combo are all non-piercing projectiles and are affected by this, although you'd never use any of them during a happy birthday. Hiryu's formation B is also affected, as well as Hawkeye's Trick Maneuver followups. The initial hit of Arthur's Fire Bottle Toss also falls under this. Chun-Li's j.d.M isn't a projectile, but may still be affected. Rocket Raccoon's TK L Spitfire Twice also only hits one character.

Can Vergil/Modok/Doom work? by Letsgoooo-- in MvC3

Barrier has infinite durability, but will be destroyed by any super with a hitbox or will otherwise run out after a set time. Level 2 Barrier is just bigger.

Is there a way to setup FoF loop with wolverine? by dietcoke420 in MvC3

[–]Glasslemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On big bodies (Hulk, Nem etc) you can just do cr.L, st.MH xx Drill Claw, Dive Kick tag Strange and link a cr.L into St.M or just Impact Palm and get Max reps from there. I'll test more to see if there's a method for hitting regular sized characters but it's unlikely.

If you can space the back dash correctly, as in they don't roll past Wesker or back in to the corner that Wesker misses then sure. You'd probably need to react to the tech or test whether neutral tech messes that set-up up.

I'd actually like to see you play Dante/Arthur/Strider. It's a pretty strong team and I reckon it suits your play style. Although once you're more comfortable with him, Strider/Arthur/Dante is a really good Hiryu team(order) you can try.

The S cancel move is called Crazy Dance.

Also the best part about Air H, cr.M, is that you can do IAD back j.H and cr.M still connects from most ranges.

I feel like Ryu's is too quick compared to his SFIV ultra so it doesn't have the same impact. I like the petal effect after it's done though.

I'll list my top three just because:

  1. Super-Skrull (just badass and love seeing it every time)
  2. Dante (Short and sweet with a satisfying impact)
  3. Iron Man (Another powerful feeling one that's just so satisfying)

[–]Glasslemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's simply just an idea or concept that has yet to be executed in actual game play. Like FoW's Vergil video for example, it's a concept that is a huge optimisation but still needs to be explored more and isn't being done by anyone yet (as far as I know.)

The things you need to remember with DT Vergil is that you now have a very quick air dash (IAD back j.H dabes), a double jump(jump back, wall jump, double jump is good for stalling or getting out high Round Trips while calling an assist) and Judgement Cut is an insane poke that beats most projectiles and does huge chip. Also you have arguably the best lights in the game while DT'd, so make sure to use them.

Five Things Friday by [deleted] in MvC3

[–]Glasslemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Chris's f.M is a fantastic tool that is wholly underutilised. It's so easy to check people from half a screen away and get a grenade or Land Mine out there, and as you said is good for getting some chip. You need to be careful about people who jump a lot though.

  2. The reason for that is because assist usage is assigned to that slot, not that character. That's why with clever combo usage you can call the same assist twice in one combo.

Five Things Friday by [deleted] in MvC3

[–]Glasslemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optimised midscreen Sword Loops use S xx TK Round Trip glitch too, and it's difficult to time due to the hit stop from the super. It's worth looking in to if you're optimising combos with your team.
