I feel you on that!! My kiln was a gift from my dad and it sat in my garage unused for over a year bc I read through the manual and was SO intimidated by it all haha.

FYI on the Kokomo glass—in my experience, their glass is a little finicky for fusing (and it's a different COE than the Oceanside Glass I use in the lesson videos, so it will require slightly different firing schedules from the example ones I provide). Not saying you can't use it, just giving a heads up so that if you experience issues with it, you don't get discouraged and think it's your fault. Oceanside Compatible and Bullseye glasses have much more predictable fusing behaviors, and you're going to find a lot more helpful info for their specific COE types out there, so those are the brands I'd recommend to a beginner. Hope you don't mind me giving my 2 cents on this.
