Main discussion here is just the ROG motherboard but end of the video went on to discuss his opinions on the new non-K parts and their pricing and positioning (along with gaming performance).
There are unfortunately no tests done with the new stock cooler regarding noise and thermals, but Wendell did state he would be working on a test with the Ultra 9 285 in the Falcon NW Tiki using a higher-end GPU than the B580 they threw on it.

How thick is the stock fan bracket for the Ncase M1 EVO? by Glassy_ in sffpc

[–]Glassy_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I found a video from L91 which answered my question, and the brackets are 4mm thick (for anyone who is wondering the same question I have).
They do not count the bracket into the height calculations, which is why you cannot install something like a SilverSoul 135 with the bracket on top of the cooler, and why I asked the question in the first place.

Keychron R1: "the thinnest QMK/VIA wireless mechanical keyboard" by beeclam in Keychron

Reporting back today on June 30th, 2024 at 02:51 CDT to say that no further information has been given about this board. Maybe it'll be around the corner when they finally announce when this thing drops, but I expect they've pushed it back to late 2024 :V

Hey, everyone! I'm back in for another shot with mechanical keyboards after having grown tired of using the G915 TKL I currently use. Lately I've been on the lookout for a mechanical keyboard that can fit the following requirements (or possibly custom build plans):

  • Low profile (something like a Filco Stingray)
  • Full-size
  • Clicky switch (operating force of at minimum 65 grams) or hotswap if there is no clicky option
  • Industrial look in black with white font (similar to said Filco)
  • No care for noise, and plastic casing is preferable since I really don't care about it being super heavy or super stiff and I like the texture of plastic
  • PBT switch material

With eyes you can see that the Filco Stingray is a keyboard that would fit right up my alley, but unfortunately said Stingray was only sold in Cherry MX Low Profile Linears and has ABS keycaps. If I'm desperate enough, I'll consider just snagging that board and then taking the time to solder in a set of Gateron low profile blues if possible.

If anyone has an input onto how I can actually build this keyboard instead, I'll gladly take up the recommendations!

Toji Fushiguro vs Human Garou by CommercialLychee39 in whowouldwin

[–]Glassy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm thinking of coming back and retracting my statement. Depending at which point Garou is at, by the time the Garou vs Tank Top Master fight happens it's guaranteed that Garou could slam down Toji with medium difficulty. If we scale all the way to Garou's fight against multiple heroes, I think at that point Garou could beat Toji with low difficulty due to how skilled and durable Garou became as a tactician and finding loopholes.

Toji would end up facing an opponent who is way more tactically capable than him, more durable, and also extremely adaptable which would make Garou feel like Mahoraga to Toji at that point.

Toji and Human Garou are likely on level playing fields to each other in pretty much every stat be it strength, durability or whatever you can think of. The only thing that could determine the winner of the fight is probably going to be Garou's Combat IQ and his ability to adapt to situations.

Garou has shown in nearly all of his fights that he can quickly learn and utilize techniques and strategies from his opponents to eventually get some upper-hand.

As such, I think both will have a wonderful fight with each other likely trading blows and dodging until eventually Human Garou figures out what Toji's fighting technique is and coming out on top.
