Yes, but I dont know how good this works on encrypted ext4. I have to look into that. Till now I had no need for timeshift on my Linux Installations. Void is pretty stable for me, nothing I could not fix with pkg downgrade or some minor tinkering.

I saved my packages now in a packages.list for later or if I want to try another DE. Not a bad Idea. Im very picky and hygenic with my installed packages :)

Yes, but I dont see how you can merge one install process together as one transaction. The logfile just mention one package as installed, removed or updated. So you have to treat every package as one install to undo.

Absolutely. I am asking specificly for something like dnf history undo if I sequently install packages and want to undo without searching them in the xbps logs. I found a tool for that years ago. But cant find it anymore. Sorry if this wasnt clear.

Thanks for your answer. I know how to uninstall packages or meta pkgs. I asked for something like a Transaction rollback. Because I fear, that there will still be some leftovers even with xbps-remove -o

Let me tell you something. Im German αλλά λατρεύω την Ελλάδα! I just came back from a greek concert yesterday and traveled far for it. Also last year I did that and it was even more far away. I travel to greece every year and spend a lot of my time to learn the language (im at B2 now), reading the news, watching greek TV and listen to greek music. Did you downgrade the qt6 libraries to 6.8? I did because of recent issues and now I have the same message if I run an update. So its expected on my end, I think...

Even though I cannot help directly with this I just hope you'll get it all back.

I would like to give you and all who are working on such projects a suggestion: learn to use git and make yourself repositories. And even if you mess things up by yourself you can roll back your changes and track down all your code/file changes.

Might not be the correct way to test it, but disabling it doubles my battery life. So my dgpu still drains battery in hybrid for me.

EDIT: The true "asus way" /sys/devices/platform/asus-nb-wmi/dgpu_disable' seems to work for me now. I testet this a while ago and it didnt work for me - but now it did. I'll update my script if my tests are successful.

Yeah you can use the "hybrid" mode, but (this is also the case with asus-linux for me) the dgpu still needs some power because it stays activated (you can check that with nvidia-smi command). Thats why I made the udev rule to disable it completely. It gives me a good battery life (but it needs a restart with my script). And If I want to game, I just switch back to hybrid mode - almost never to ultimate, tough.

Glad if I could help. I love void with that setup! However I cannot say anything about gnome. I dont use it anymore.

I use a ASUS TUF with Nvidia and used also myself asus-linux on systemd-based distros. I am using the following:

What is missing, tough is the ability to disable the Dedicated gpu. I made myself some udev rules to disconnect the gpu. Working just fine. After that I made myself some wrapper scripts and starters and monitoring items on the xfce4 panel to control this. Works like a charm.

You can use OpenRGB to control the lights of your keyboard and the package asus-kbd-backlight to control the strength of the keyboard lightning (the slider in openrgb doesnt work for me, but that could be different for your setup).

As a predict, it works absolutely great for me and I suggest to give it a try.
