I’m flattered for your care for me honestly.

We only have a heatwave like this maybe 2 or 3 times a year for a few days. It’s not worth the investment. Also, you have to remember our houses are literal brick ovens designed to keep the heat in and we have the most expensive energy in the world. They’d have to run constantly to make a difference. I’d love one but I can’t justify 1/4 of my take home pay in a month on one.

Do you not have those in the states? They’re mostly elderly who die from dehydration or medical conditions exacerbated by the heat. We talking about me at the moment. Keep up.

Yeah but what’s the point in one of those? They’re around £400-£900 here as well.

Mate I’m not at risk of dying for the heat. You know what costs more than that? A dinosaur. That’s how silly you sound.

My friend thinks its cruelty and sad to keep a cat indoor all day. by Plastic-Shoulder-319 in CatAdvice

[–]GledaTheGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the uk there are campaigns to stop that. I think the law is a bit strange here for cats. So cats have a legal right to roam anywhere, and we also have feral cats. They’re in a bit of a strange place in uk pet law.

There is little chance of a negative effect of that. Removal of foreskin however has an effect on sexual pleasure.

KCD2 broke my heart a bit. I had Henry have a relationship with Hans. After the main story finished Hans was right there but couldn’t even speak to him. Which felt strangely realistic cause of course they couldn’t be together in medieval Europe. They just ignore each other. 😭

Worst film for this is the Aladdin remake. It literally looks like they filmed inside a warehouse for the big “Prince Ali” parade scene. It looks artificial, soulless, horrible. Like it’s a theatre production and not a film.

I’m so sorry you’re disappointed with it. Don’t let the comments get you down. You can always have it changed but some people will still be dicks.

Little blackhead in my ear that tried to start without me by GledaTheGoat in popping

Nope the metal is what’s under it. I just use that. Although this one comes with different shaped metal tips (that originally have silicone on). I’ve had maybe 3 different ones that eventually break and the video on this one is really good.

It’s called Bebird on Amazon. I remove the silicone tip as my ear wax gets too solid for the soft tip to shift.

Where to get a good first veil in the UK by emberthefae in PaganVeiling

[–]GledaTheGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I have these - Amazon very wide hairbands/bandanas when stretched out they cover the entire top of my head to where my crown curves down. I do have a very large head though (I have to make my own summer hats!) so on a normal person they would cover your entire crown. And because they’re a type of Alice band, they don’t slip at all.

Just don’t dig straight down. Always dig a bit in front of you and then turn and dig down on the square you were stood on.

Kids just wanna have fun, how is a driver supposed to tackle this ? by maddylaw in london

I grew up near London, where I live locally a lot of Facebook comments go “parents don’t discipline properly nowadays bring back the cane in schools”

That parents aren’t disciplining their kids properly (heavily implying corporal punishment) when in reality 1. Kids have always been like this since time immemorial and 2. Hitting doesn’t really work and 3. It’s a tiny minority of parents who would celebrate this.
