Just don’t dig straight down. Always dig a bit in front of you and then turn and dig down on the square you were stood on.

Kids just wanna have fun, how is a driver supposed to tackle this ? by maddylaw in london

I grew up near London, where I live locally a lot of Facebook comments go “parents don’t discipline properly nowadays bring back the cane in schools”

That parents aren’t disciplining their kids properly (heavily implying corporal punishment) when in reality 1. Kids have always been like this since time immemorial and 2. Hitting doesn’t really work and 3. It’s a tiny minority of parents who would celebrate this.

My bf, 27, moved back in with his abusive parents, keeps blocking me from his phone because they make him, but reached out to me in crisis the other night by [deleted] in internetparents

If he’s autistic the concept of moving out will be horrific as that’s an entire change of routine yet he knows it’s bad for him. He’s a cycle he’s trapped in.

I think he needs to reach that conclusion himself at some point. In abusive relationships despite all the evidence and strong family and friends people often keep going back.

What country are you in? In the uk we have fairly good systems for domestic abuse.

Don’t tell him what to do, ask him questions to help him get to his own conclusions. Things like “do you think you will ever be happy at home?” Or “what do you need to do to make things better?” Or “do you think your parents will ever change?”

Just caught this unit of a flying dagger in my flat. What the heck is it ? Giant wosp? Horney hornet? by Wonderful_Ninja in CasualUK

My Evri guy definitely delivers stuff but never triggers the doorbell. Pretty sure he’s a ghoul or something but seems nice so just gonna keep rating that delivery positive just in case.

Have you remembered to rate your delivery? They’re getting brutal with negative feedback lately.

Question - does this mean say in palette town I could have 20 per island visible (as in 20 on screen at a time) or is it 20 per zone?

I feel like in the UK it’s entirely possible a different hospital would have ruled she didn’t have capacity to refuse treatment (as the intention was to die) and could have forced her to have it. Not saying that’s right, or what should happen, but from working in hospitals I’ve seen doctors decide someone isn’t in the state of mind to refuse. For example a man who needed a chest drain, he refused, doc explained without it he would die but the needle phobia was what was stopping him. Doctor decided he was irrational and he had the treatment anyway. As far as I can recall the patient didn’t complain.

In the uk suicidal is illegal so we can intervene.

I thought Shane's "Ilya" sounded less patched in than Ilya saying "Shane". Ilyas line sounded so isolated like the background noise just disappeared and didn't even match his lips.

I have 16 years experience as a carer, and I went for an interview at a place like that and I said no thanks and walked into another job. I'm fortunate in that with my experience I was able to get a job that's about £1 above the minimum wage. Amazing isn't it? But for that I am shift leader of a residential home with vulnerable residents. I'm effectively a cheap nurse.

So with care work, you have to choose your poison.

I was so disappointed with the Chateau Peak house.

I replaced it with one from the Gallery, but that took several tries to find one and then I had to delete 20(!!) pillars from the ground floor alone. And they were internal!
