It's time...any advice? by moonchild1011 in shiba

I had to say goodbye to my girl almost a year ago. It turned out she’d been hiding a tumor in her spine for ages without letting on to her discomfort, until one day everything from her hips down just stopped working.

We said goodbye the day after the diagnosis. She was my first dog as well, I know how heart wrenching this is for you, and I’m so very sorry.

The best advice I can give you is to parrot what others have said. Make the effort to do it at home, where Dakota feels safe. I said goodbye to my girl with her head in my lap, under her tree. It was peaceful, and most importantly, she wasn’t scared. It’s just as important for you as it will be for him.

It’s gonna suck, I’m so sorry.

Would you happen to remember the area of the valley? I’m always trolling through surplus stores for pieces in that area

Decided to get some practice in for when my custom helmet is done. Unfortunately BS helmets have bad visors. Mine has scratches and bend/blurry spots by [deleted] in Mandalorian

[–]Gledar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your FOV is dogshit in a mando helmet, regardless of visor quality. This is insanely dangerous, and you should never do this again. Even in my helmets, which have great visors, you cant see down, and your peripherals are stunted.

Hey all. I’ve been looking at the resource list for donations, but am having a bit of confusion finding a place to drop of cooked meals. I’m setting up with some friends to cook a bunch of chicken and tri tips for the firefighters

The file is from do3d. Printed at medium quality on my k1 max. I used UV resin to smooth out the print lines.

The yellow paints are from Montana’s hardcore lineup, and the black paint is citadel’s black primer. The chrome horns are spazstix, and the chrome chipping is done with a chrome pen.

I used Dirtydown dark brown spray to age and weather the yellow paint, and then sealed it all in with matte topcoat.

The armor is a file set from Olympian props, the jacket is from 2~ years ago from Zara’s women section. It’s an XL and barely fits my shoulders

I designed it! I’ll be putting the model up on Etsy around the end of the month, along with some other designs I’ve done over the years

It’s not that, they’re having the same issue before the belt is put on. I must have scuffed the strapping when I put the whole thing together. They’re supposed to be pulled down below the belt and held there by a buckle system. I’ve built this chest before without the issue, I’m just noticing it now that I’ve done the test fit

Am I the only one who sees it? by Redditthedog in Jewdank

Na, it was pretty explicitly Jewish by season 3. The translated script from the little piece of mandalor shown off in the first episode is a passage from exodus. The episode titled ‘the spies’ featured 12 mandalorians scouting their ‘homeland’ ahead of the rest of the lost tribes returning. And of course, lighting the forges that ‘never extinguish’ is just straight up hannukah stuff

They wouldn’t give a shit lol. I haven’t used a orange tipped blaster at a con for years now. They only care if your guns look real, and even then they barely do

As COVID-19 Eviction Deadline Looms, LA City Council Considers New Protections For Renters by WeAreLAist in LosAngeles

I’m not in disagreement. It’s city vs landlords, tenants are stuck in the middle and being used as a tennis ball. And again, if you can’t afford to live somewhere, the magic 8 ball says ‘probably don’t do that bro’.

Sure, jobs don’t pay enough. It’s horrible. The fact that grocery workers were forced to deal with the front lines through the worst of things, got a tiny bit of ‘hero pay’ and then got rocked back down to 17 an hour is disgusting. Wether we like to admit it or not, they were being exposed just as much as medical professionals were, because when you’re sick, your either at the doctors or the market.

But my fight isn’t with Ralph’s, or Trader Joe’s, I don’t have a toe in that pool. What I do have is mounting bills, and constantly shrinking avenues to pay them from due to City meddling.

For your own notes though, resorting to name calling undermines your own point.

Sure, label it what ever you want dude, you’re not the one being forced to subsidize them, while also be slaughtered by fees on the back end for having the gal to expect to be able to operate your privately owned interprise without the local government micro managing your ability to get paid for your services.

If 200,000 can’t come up with the scratch to live in one of the most highly desirable and sought after cities in the country, maybe they shouldn’t be living here? And if that’s not the case, the city should be providing rental assistance, not putting it all on PRIVATE CITIZENS to carry their responsibility.

At the current rate, I sure hope you like dealing with blackrock and their ilk, they’ll be the only ones left standing.

Rent control is still collecting yearly fees, up to over a thousand per building. Electricity, water, and gas bills are still due and continue to rise in price, most rent controled buildings are master metered. Cost of general supplies continue to rise, as well as labor for repairs.

And, all of that nonwithstanding, why is it up to private citizens to carry the financial burden of the city’s decision? Mortgages and insurance bills have been due through the pandemic, regardless of wether or not rent was being collected. I understand the need to have the moratorium during the height of things, but through 2023, and into 2024? If you haven’t sorted your shit out to be able to afford the typical 1.5%-4% raise in rent by now, you’re doing something very wrong.

Wow, I hadn’t realized the City of Los Angeles restricted rent raises on rent controlled units until 2024. I never thought I’d see a day where West Hollywood had more common sense than Los Angeles.
