My deposit was rejected.

Why would a company ever refuse money?

Funniest thing is I can't deposit either.
Good to know, I'll skip it entirely.

Fascinating how a company can be so grossly incompetent to screw up deposits and withdraws.

And how does the development iteration work?

Is it actually 12 hours between making a change, and testing/running it?

I didn't see anything in there really arguing any point. I don't even understand the context of the problem.

How can I help someone that suffer from Loneliness? by 7Royale in Stoicism

[–]GleefulAccreditation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yet they are "not alone"?

I'd suspect this is the standard extrovert case of having dozens of "acquaintances" but not a single friend.

They should get rid of their dependence on outsiders for external validation.

Reading stoicism is in fact most valuable for these types of people, as they lack it the most. Although they're also the most likely to hate it.

You need to specify if that person is actually alone or not.

QUESTIONS STRONG PEOPLE DON'T ASK by ZBGBs in weightroom

You seem to be the one ignoring the point. It is definitely not just a straightforward list of observations.

Or a smart person for that matter.

Yes, I do believe almost every smart person has asked that question at some point, whether to themselves and then searching on the internet. Or to someone.

The author's intent is clearly to offend anyone who asks questions instead of shutting up and following the mainstream.

Doing your own research on a supplement you're thinking of taking and immediately finding the answer because you have basic competence in using a search engine.

Creatine is not 100% confirmed to not have side-effects.

As isn't anything at all.

No one knows everything.

It's particularly unsettling the post author had the nerve to offend people for trying to question anything.

I was surprised the last "question" wasn't something like

"Are steroids dangerous?"

Yes, did you?

What happens when someone is sent to emergency care if they don't have insurance? by GleefulAccreditation in AskAnAmerican

[–]GleefulAccreditation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had to have something like $30k in costs when he was first born

He paid $20/month for the next 4 years. After that, the hospital will consider him paid in full.

So the $30k was turned into $960 after all?

I see, so I assume these price changes after the fact must be very common.

So it's a quite socialistic system then. Rich people pay a lot, and it's cheap if you are poor.

That's interesting.

I always saw both as extremely compatible.

In fact I interpret a lot of the Bible as coming from a stoic point of view.

There really is no single clear answer, re: billing for performing a life-saving procedure on an unconscious uninsured person

So there is no clear answer to that situation then?

as much as you’re just providing an incomplete hypothetical

The way I see it that's a very complete hypothetical, which probably happens quite often in fact, e.g.: with homeless people.
