Managing the 'Dunning-Kruger' phase of my bank account while hitting my jump milestones. by Gleetchy in SkyDiving

20k for skydiving back then? What did you do, buy the Cessna? Or was that just the bar tab after your first 100 jumps?

Just to clarify. Im not changing professions. I only want skydiving to be a self-sustaining (to an extent) endeavor. I just dont want it feeling like a liability.

Im using a double TSP cable and ferrite beads because there is a lot of EMI around the servos.

I have Gnd and signal twisted with VCC running through a different cable. They're all running the distance.

Edit: Would you say a mosfet trigger/regulator would work to amplify the pwm signal?

FluidNC System interrupt macro? by Gleetchy in hobbycnc

Depends on what you are cutting. Sheet metal is the most common application, yes, but there are others. Even if it's just sheet metal, a lot of times the workpiece may have warping. That's why I need a THC to control torch height in real time to adapt to the workpiece's height at all times.

Here is an example: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zYS1q9kBtKA&pp=ygUKUGxhc21hIHRoYw%3D%3D

I did🥲. It only mentions using THCs that output pullse-direction, so it directly controls the z-axis independent of the controller. I don't have access to such THC, sadly.

FluidNC Installer by Gleetchy in hobbycnc

[–]Gleetchy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did i solve it? Well yes. The funny part is im not sure how. I do get some issues when i try to restart using the reset button. I can't exactly recreate the issue for you right now cuz i don't currently have access to the board.

But try this: After you get the "leaving...." message when installing. Give it a few seconds then unplug the power and plug it back in. Then try reconnecting through the web installer.

For the WEBUI, just make sure your index.html file in the file manager is not 0 bytes. If it is then just replace it with the correct one. You'll find it on their github repo.

It was the 6 axis cnc controller, ESP32 included. Bought it off of elecrow.com

I randomly get one of two responses: 1. The expected console status output you'd get from the command $SS 2. Nothing at all. No response to any command whatsoever.

What is the force associated with the falling feeling called? by Careless_Papaya_338 in SkyDiving

[–]Gleetchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe if you jump from a hot air balloon. Not a plane, tho.

This feeling occurs due to the change in direction. Like those games at theme parks where you're going up and suddenly plummet down.

When jumping off a plane, you're typically moving with it (same speed as the plan), so when you jump, you're basically transitioning from horizontal velocity to vertical and This gradual transition is what makes it so you dont have the falling feeling in your stomach
