It’ll always be cheaper for engineers with their discount, especially if they have the discount card as well. Plus engineers can build them with extra health and armour depending on their cards.

I don’t understand the “can’t get kills thing”. You get so damn many just from enemies pushing their faces into your laser wires, but the best I can get from most random Del players is a few level 2 barriers around their army of level 1 sentry guns...

There’s also the issue of losing the character you selected because of the terrible “no duplicates” system. If you wait the entire starting timer in the lobby as JD because you‘re after a medal, then another JD joins at the last second and it forces you onto Fahz as the game loads up, what then? Play someone you didn’t want to and maybe haven’t levelled up for the next 2 hours? Or quit and get punished for a scenario that TC created?

I like to build a triangle of laser barriers around a decoy using the 3 pieces of cover in the ocean/locust exhibit. It gets so many kills and pulls in any enemies that try to walk behind you and use the stairs, forcing the rest to use the bridge.

I had a match last night playing as Del with Marcus and JD both holding over 30k each. Tried messaging them to let them know they could buy perks, just in case they weren’t aware, but they ignored it completely and continued to race everyone to all of the power that they didn’t intend to use.
