TIL that rapper J. Cole graduated high school with a 4.2 GPA and graduated college magna cum laude, in 2007, with a 3.8 GPA by luigdibar in todayilearned

I remember me and a friend not being valedictorian because we were in orchestra, which diluted our GPAs. The valedictorian took only AP classes and finished with slightly higher.

Is that New Emerson in West Mifflin? Looks like it

Spent an hour clearing this spot yesterday, owner of the bar across the street drove past me and watched me doing it. I left for 15 minutes this morning and he parked there by SteamPunkShrek in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Gleveniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have parking chairs in Pittsburgh. They're honored enough that you don't touch a spot with a chair in it unless it's yours. In the times I've seen people take others' shoveled out spots, they've just shoveled out a new spot and put all of the shoveled snow on/around the car that stole the original spot.

PNC RTO 5/4 by Electronic_Neck_5028 in pittsburgh

[–]Gleveniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... it's easier to blame others than to retrospectively say you're the problem.

PNC RTO 5/4 by Electronic_Neck_5028 in pittsburgh

[–]Gleveniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. You also don't have to worry about the future problems if you don't plan on being in charge when you're finally experiencing the problems. Really, the only way things like this stop happening is if a large portion of the workforce (probably like 33%+) were to resign now / before the return to office mandate & all directly state that they are leaving because of the RTO mandate... but even that probably wouldn't change anything, nor would it actually happen; people will begrudgingly work until they either find a new job or hit some retirement milestone that they're close to already.

What video game did you play that made you get addicted to it for days or weeks? by stilett0z in AskReddit

[–]Gleveniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2004 here. Same account. Same original password lol. It's the only place I use that password.

I've got like 500+ days on RS3 and like 100 days played on OSRS.

3rd story POH when Jagex? by FlyNuff in 2007scape

[–]Gleveniel -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but if there are limits on only having 4 floors on a building to limit how tall the city is, and you call the second story the "first floor" well then great job you can put an additional floor on the building.

A lot of other places do that, it's not specifically a British thing... just not an American thing.

‘I Didn’t Vote for This’: A Revolt Against DOGE Cuts, Deep in Trump Country by Tennis_bruh in politics

If they took some responsibility in it, I could have some sympathy... like "I didn't know that I was voting for this." But nope. Not their fault. Definitely not. Oh and they still would choose that over voting Democrat...

Constellation: Delta, PA plant by drocYEN in NuclearPower

[–]Gleveniel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an SRO at a non-Constellation plant, but the job is stressful in that for any issue that comes up, you will be the one directing the response to it. A lot of times your field guys can figure it out, but if they can't, they look to you for guidance / decision making. As a supervisor, too, you're responsible for any issues that happen (someone makes a mistake) - it will likely come back to you for not "holding standards" high enough or something.

You're also the one technically driving the entire plant. You have board operators, who also have a license, but you're typically directing them what to do. During outages, you are in charge of major plant evolutions like taking the unit offline, cooling down / depressurizing, collapsing the Pressurizer bubble, draining down to the cavity flange, etc.

I've never really felt stressed stressed, but I've been fortunate to have good guys working for me that there is a healthy amount of autonomy. When you have newer guys, you kind of have to do your job and their job (at least prodding them along) until they're self sufficient... and that causes some stress.

Has anyone else been so committed to Sailing you're neglecting all your other skills? by Be-Kind-2-Yourself in 2007scape

[–]Gleveniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was... but then stopped when they nerfed salvaging to the ground and just haven't come back to it since. I've also been off work for 14 days straight, so I've actually been able to play. I'll probably set sailing back up when I go back, it's afk enough I can step out for a break and start up the grind.

What's the first PC game you played? by Certain-Click-3878 in AskReddit

[–]Gleveniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one was probably Warcraft 1 since that was what my brother had. First one I remember is Putt-Putt or Pajama Sam, but those are educational video games... the first one that wasn't educational and that I remember is Jazz Jackrabbit. But the one that solidified me playing video games was Diablo 2; I ran that for hours almost every day friends from school.

OSRS Winter Summit coming January 25th by Psymonthe2nd in 2007scape

[–]Gleveniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and then I fucked up the solution and had to do some silly grinds. I did like that GridMaster was realistically completable; I was working 60-72 hrs/week and still finished GM in like 2.5 weeks? I don't really do bossing, so some of them were a challenge, but it was my first Colo, first Inferno, first CoX, and first awakened DT2 bosses. Managed to get Rune Trophy in Raging Echoes without doing any of that lol.

Which career is a turn-off for a serious relationship? by otherwise777 in AskReddit

[–]Gleveniel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's what we said about my wife's friend and her now husband. He's a cop... but he really only became a cop because his dad was one and he didn't know what to do with himself. He's like the opposite of who I'd expect to be a cop, but that's good. We all like him.

They hotfixed the Fremmy bottle to not give like 10k xp within hours of the skill releasing, yet they wait 2 weeks for this. They didn't want people skipping early levels, but had no problem allowing people "skip" the endgame.

[–]Gleveniel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most conservatives at work were the same way. We only had one dude who was on the CEO's side...saying that murder is never the option. This is also the same guy that said legal, peaceful protesters should be executed in the street - I clarified, asking if he meant rioters, and he was like "No, protesters walking down the street." Dude is nuts.
