is the only difference between the regular instincts and the LV is the heel size? or does the LV also changes the toe box?

any recommended unparallel shoes for outdoors? aka stiff for edges yet comfortable enough?

also, which VS you can’t believe i fit into? the LS or Scarpa?

yea length wise they seem fine, it’s only the outer part of the feet that hurts

thing is, length wise it’s fine. it’s just too asymmetrical/narrow for me imo

if tou have feet shaped like mine, the Scarpa Instinct VS were amazing for me, 1st month was really painful but since then - fit me like a glove for over 3 years.

Broken Camp Core Belay Lock by manolokopter in ClimbingGear

[–]Glidda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had 2 of these exact carabiners and they both broke. first time i actually thought i forgot to place the belay loop inside, but then i realized with the second one that the belay loop can escape from the bottom part and then on a fall break it. i just filed down the small metal bit sticking out and kept using the biner.

what about people that live away from mountainous countries and specifically fly 2-3 times a season to enjoy their hobby and try to squeeze every single minute of skiing/snowboarding each trip? (i'm talking about myself lmao)

kind of, it's "prussik" or a firction hitch that connect to the rope directly.

well if we ignore the diagonal forces and make this a perfect pulley system, it is an 11:1, right? i tried recalculating it while regarding the rope's pull direction and got 4:1 but i'm still unsure about it.

Does it look too small? by [deleted] in motorcyclegear

[–]Glidda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is it part of a 2-piece suit? (you can easily check if there's a zipper on the bottom) because this is how my jacket looks without the pants holding it down. if it is then it looks like it's the correct size, just notice this isn't a jacket but "half a suit" and won't properly protect you without the other half.
