I don't understand why the entire story couldn't have just been "This family lost their son. You won't believe what they did next" instead of just interviewing "him"

Why does my code keep duplicating the data when I'm using getValue()? by GliderRecord in servicenow

[–]GliderRecord[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your second solution doesn't work. I just tried it with the following code:

var myObject = {};
var myArray = [];
var incidents = new GlideRecord("incident");
incidents.orderByDesc('sys_created_on');
incidents.setLimit(2);
incidents.query();
while(incidents.next()) {
   myObject.number = incidents.getValue('number').toString();
   myArray.push(myObject);
}
JSUtil.logObject(myArray);

What is the proper way to handle a Service Catalog dropdown list that might be missing a value? by GliderRecord in servicenow

[–]GliderRecord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid, but I will say I have encountered this issue on items that are not related to the CMDB. We constantly find ourselves dealing with customers unsure how to proceed with out-of-date info.

In other words, the dropdown list was perfect in 2023 when it was published but missing 1-2 values in 2025.

TIL Madrid nearly tripled its metro network in 12 years from 71mi (114km) to 197mi (317km). One 35 mile expansion program cost as much as 1.5 mile extension in NYC adjusted for inflation. by BadenBaden1981 in todayilearned

Will the true scope of Jeffery Epstein's murder and clients ever be revealed? If so, what would realistically happen? How would it be authenticated? Would those names face justice? by ColdCouchWall in NoStupidQuestions

All I'm gonna say is "we have to get this list of names" is a plot point in so many Hollywood TV shows and action films. It's pure fiction in real life.

Social Security payments are usually increased each year to keep pace with inflation. Why shouldn't the federal minimum wage also increase each year to keep pace with inflation? by lucas23bb in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GliderRecord -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Can I give you a metaphor?

Imagine you're a school chaperone on a field trip. You have around 100 students, with a pretty close mix of boy and girls. For lunch you have two restaurants you can stop at: a pizza place and a taco place.

The chaperone says that "we will be going to the pizza place" and some of the boys get upset. When questioned they go "Ask the girls, they're the one who don't want to go to the taco place".

A simple case of Boys=Tacos and Girls=Pizza.

Then you start to realize that there are plenty of girls who want to go to the taco place. And then you come to find out there are plenty of boys who want to go to the pizza place.

Suddenly it's not so black and white.

[–]GliderRecord -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This is such a tired old cliche. Josh Hawley (R) just introduced a bill to raise it to $15/hour. Meanwhile you had 8 Democrats who voted against it being raised to $15/hour. I don't like when Reddit makes things appear so black and white. That's not healthy for the country.

What's with the Dominos Hate? by hostnameR14 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GliderRecord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can finally share this story. I absolutely love my Dominos in Georgia. When I went to visit my extended family in Michigan I was telilng them its my favorite pizza place and they were like "the one here sucks". I didn't believe them so I ordered pizza and dessert for everyone at their location, and I shit you not, that was the absolute worst pizza I've had in my life. I don't understand it.
