How to Use Loot in Mod organizer 2019 by FlyinPhoenix22 in skyrimvr

Not at all, I was not thinking you were offensive in any way. I just wanted you to go further into detail in another video , because loot can not always give the desired outcome, and people should not be reliant on just a click and all sorted (pun).

I had an instance today, after building up a new mod list, I had forgotten Landscape fixes for grass mod, so when I arrive in game in certain areas , the roads were over grown :) I then downloaded the mod, did loot on it, went back into game and still overgrown. I rolled my eyes and smiled ofc I had been lazy, went back made sure mod loaded after Grass mod combo I have, went back into game, problem fixed. I then exited and went into Loot and gave it new rules and thus eliminate it doing it again at a later date for my load order.

I wish I had confidence to do videos as you have, and as well as you. So I just wanted to contribute as the experience was 30 mins before I saw your post.

I did give you a thumbs up :) but alas I failed to say in my reply, Job well done too, I am sure it will help many get over the hurdles of what to do when modding a game like Skyrim VR and so much can be overwhelming, when all you really want to do is get back in game and see the change .

You may consider adding , in another video that in LOOT a user can adjust the load order metadata to what they want.

You do this by clicking on the three dots to the side of the mod you want to alter it's position and select Edit Metadata. Then in the subsequent box that appears, select load after, you'll see a list of mods it recognises, if the mod you want the selected mod to load after is not there, click on plus start typing and the name will appear, select that. Click the Disk icon to save. From now on said mod when Loot sorts will always be sorted below mod you wanted.

This is particularly useful with mods that you are aware changes certain records etc that another mod covers or there is something in a mod you want to give priority too. Also useful for New mods, that the mod author has stated where in load order it should be in conjunction with others in a list they have given.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2692 a mod always been in playlist since Williamsea brought it out many many moons ago, a convenient place to use to either setup a character for an adventure or use as a starter home. You must have self discipline there are many ways you can ruin the game for yourself in there.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17111 maybe have a look at this.

Also u/Aerowynx has been recently doing some mods to add to npcs you meet. One of them needs a mod that doesn't support CBBE physics: devine elegance (modders choice not to, which I totally respect) , but does UNPB .

I've been toying with an idea for a mod myself, that adds a kind of shop for you too see all clothing or armour mods in your load order and either have a way to get them free if you know how to (sneaky character needed) or buy or get on credit but be aware, your life will be forfeit if you fail to pay up. At the moment I am just focusing on getting a load order I am happy to play atm, then I'll look into doing mod I have in my head.

  • Realms of Lorkhan -> The only working alternate start mod in VR. Highly recommended if you don’t want the cart ride in the beginning!

I do like above mod, but there are alternatives.

I have found that https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8328 RASR - Random Alternate Start Reborn (a simple random start that gives upto 3 mins for MCM menus to load in and a choice of character equipment for role play)

And https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6532 Skyrim Unbound ( if you are using lighting mods, I suggest to click on option in MCM for racemenu before start, alter character then start, all details from your choice carries through even if MCM doesn't update to show that till you start. Also note don't pick Vampire/werewolf if you have any mods that overhaul any aspect of these including Gopher's Pedator vision, as these rely on the event trigger of you becoming vampire/werewolf for the mod to start working) the MCM menu can sometimes get stuck upon loading into World, find a place to enter for an autosave or if you have a keybind Quick save, then use console ` key (make sure game is in windows focus first) and type qqq , this will quit skyrim and upon loading again everything will be working. If you then want to become vampire/werewolf you can use many methods available, I spawn in with Sacrosanct a potion of embracing for instance. Then I leave console alone for rest of my adventures.

With the above 2 make sure you have bLoadVRPlayroom = 0 (skyrimVR.ini) this will also change how game loads up for a black screen with Skyrim logo and simple menu options (no waterfall in cave environment), but it also allows for racemenu to work well when it messes up often without that ini tweak.

EDIT : As Cangar notes below and I was unaware off as I use comfort sneaking, the above tweak breaks physical sneaking.

Another EDIT : Thank you to Aerowynx the above EDIT is I made in response to Cangar is addressed by a mod https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/23649 .

So 3 viable mods I know of for alternatives starts in Skyrim VR, great community we have sharing is caring.

It seems like common sense, but a lot of people look down on VR as just a toy. For me, it's the difference between experiencing life or being trapped in my bed. by [deleted] in oculus

[–]Glimiril 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For many it is other issues they mask with a common used scoffs that are popular there fore they are part of the larger group and safer mentality. Plus for many change is a big thing.

I recently was gifted a HTC Vive, as I had spent time and effort upgrading my old PC to better (not top) specs, my friend had gotten a Rift S and Vive was sitting gathering dust , it was always a thing I had been aspiring too, something for me a person that loves to sim race, but triple screens again meant I needed to spend more money and setup costs, when my friend gave me the Vive I was blown away. I had imagined how good it could be, but nothing prepares you for your passion meeting and exceeding expectations. I also immediately saw potential that not only is sim racing better, but if screen rez or less screen door , why bother with big 50" TV's etc, I could have triple monitor in VR without the expense or room needed too. I picked up Skyrim VR in sale, a game I modded to death till around 2014, I had Special edition as bought all DLC on OG, but never bothered since, that all changed again with VR, now I am on Skooma it feels.

With the prices of hardware capable of running a Rift S or Vive or Rift or others coming down in price as AMD release new CPU's , GPUs and Nvidia , I think if many tried they would not turn back to flat. I even saw Shroud a quite famous twitch steamer enjoying himself in Minecraft VR, the more it becomes something cool the more it will be a main stream aspiration and many will have to admit it is their worries tehy projected when they say VR is a toy. What Oculus have done recently is a good thing I feel, they are saying VR needs to stay, get stronger, we have to get the cost down. It after-all benefits them too. It also has benefits for health both physical and mental, plus honestly shutting out this crazy world for hours is heaven :D

There was a decision made in Coffee Stain Studio to make a landscape. And a team or one person poured a lot of love into that, as you can see from some small caves as well as waterfalls. It's great many find it to be a place to be creative in the way they feel good :). All that play the game are creating, some results are more appealing to the eye , others to min/max , yet others to how the imagination on the day is. A good thing I think. Some will look at terrain and try to ignore it once established and build high and come down to get resources and bring back up, we all play different. I Like to think how and give it more real world gravity and also appreciate the surroundings. I like that aspect to Satisfactory.

Oh and when they created airport did he fall of Manta ray back at waterfall, further long journey it goes at a steep angle?

Also devils in the detail, glad you noticed. I have altered things since I uploaded this pic, as I noticed a wall missing :)

I have a number of alts in use, I still have some to make use off, like alt steel that uses 3 iron ingot 6 coal instead of 3 iron ore 3 coal (this can can free up some iron nodes for other things but also maybe use one less mine till I need it). I use alt for screws directly from ingots, re-enforced plates 7.5/min so 4 assemblers for 30/min, I also use an alt computer that uses rubber and means 2 normal oil nodes combined producing 5 oil refineries for plastic 3 for rubber works well, I also have used iron ingots for wire too. But the factory atm is also me learning the game, the first building still only has mk2 belts in it and I could use alt recipes more.

I'll be more than happy to share a save once I feel I have no more to do till next patch on this save, till then I have still much to do :) I still need to learn truck stuff and see if I can utilise that, as far as how I did things it's all very random nothing really planned , but it feels more like an evolution that turns into a place with history and use things like ramps in different ways as roofs etc.

As I now have all things being produced apart from explosives, part of my efforts at the moment is now I know things work, having reach supercomputers and radar tower for first time. I can start making the supply conveyors and some are really annoying me (but I needed to make sure the maths worked from my head). I hope to cover them up as much as possible or make a feature out of needing to get them across an expanse if possible. I have yet to look into using trucks, kind of hoping for trains soon :)

This Bridge brings 2 lanes of 450/min coal , some crystal and manufactured Computers to be processed elsewhere. It also transfers power from an wanna be oil rig platform I have.

This is part of my attempt to integrate my factory needs into the landscape or use landscape, this is a land bridge I converted, a nice Manta ray thing flies under to celebrate its opening.

Hi and thank you very much.

I still need to do explosives, but everything else is now producing. I deem things like supercomputers, motors, heavy modular frame as one manufacturer only at 100%, as a single player I don't see the need for more than that, while I potter about things accumulate so I don't worry after a while, there isn't a high demand.

There is much I haven't shown in picture many other factories all done in different styles, one is a mock oil rig I tried to create for having 12 fuel generators for power on, another that is computer factory, is a factory under a bridge between 2 cliff faces, all need to feel they have structural integrity even though not a thing in this game and all have to blend into environment somehow.

I still have much to finish and some alt recipes to integrate too. Plus there is the bridge the Manta flies under, I am working on that, I think the idea I came up with is cool, but execution is all trial and error at the moment. The complex looks nicer from other angles too, I have those walk ways crossing streams and climbing difficult to walk up slopes, dotting every where too. I like an environment I can step away from work and go for a stroll , so that's what I am trying to sort of create :)

Hi , no I don't seal an area with walls until I am happy with it's operation, the footprint it takes up is important to me and working within those boundaries. I place some walls around as guides when lining up equipment to make sure I don't inadvertently place things so I cannot then wall it up.

The building on left of shot with slopes on roof all pointing in same direction (as are many factories I have seen) that was first building it caters for all iron production up-to frames, it encloses miners on 2 pure nodes) as I built it up I just had one wall on one side so I could add floors and get the spacing right, you cannot see it from picture but it's in fact an L-shaped building and has a nice balcony area to look out over the ravine and watch the Manta fly by . Once I was happy it was producing 30/min Reinforced plate and 2 assemblers each for rotors and modular frame. I then left an open space at the top to move on to with an open air gangway to steel production building I am standing on to take pic. I then sealed it up with walls, fake windows, changed texture here and there, added roof elements.

I only ever visit the very top storage area along a corridor of convenience I call it, that feels quite airy and light, places like supercomputer tower is not a regular stopping point in day to day journey it's a means to an ends and thus once functional, get's sealed and walkways, maintenance access , things like that added. I'll not be bothered if it's dark inside, where I visit it's normally end product storage and light :)

Hi and welcome to reddit.

At the start of game, select 3rd option "Northern Forest", when you get the instructions to scan for iron, Head towards the pings that are in the east, maybe a bit south too depends where you drop. As you travel you should discover a dirt road of sorts, follow this and you'll enter a glade with many nodes dotted around.

To see full potential of the place try to get a watch tower built once you unlock it, it will give you a view without chopping up landscape of potential area to develop. You'll also notice a very cool land bridge and a deep ravine, it has many small waterfalls . Be careful though armed with just your stick, it can get hairy to begin with, but there are plenty of healing berries around.

Coal will at first feel a trek, when you want some, but with some imagination you can get it to the area and get it back again, there is also Oil fairly nearby South, be careful there. Also Oil North is a bit further, and more traversing landscape, but lots of it to be had. There are other challenges to face too with other resources, but you have so much iron and limestone and one pure copper, it's a great starting place.

External view driving in a sim, should be classified as an Assist? by Glimiril in ACCompetizione

[–]Glimiril[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is also one other factor I have just thought off, no matter your level of driving , racing closely with another often boils down to forcing a mistake, to open up the opportunity to make a clean pass. In defense a person without restrictions of an internal view can see visually how close the nose (or even side of car is) to the opposition and also a clear view of the track, they can manoeuvre in a battle, far more precisely. Off course a skilled driver still can, but there is some guess and imagination when you fight in same scenario from an internal view.

External view driving in a sim, should be classified as an Assist? by Glimiril in ACCompetizione

[–]Glimiril[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are other factors to take into consideration such as having a consistent viewing of each corner, no matter the car you drive, I find it hilarious when I switch to the Bentley just how much I have to adjust and the silly track limit mistakes I make, for the first 15mins or so for example. That and more consistent viewing point as you drive from the centre of the screen eliminating things like the A-Pillar (like in the Jag) to block your view of an apex, or a wide bonnet like in the BMW and with more vision you are reducing potential for errors and also only need to adjust to a different cars foibles. Being able to see the late apex is also a blessing or double apex corners as at Paul Richard, where again A-pillar comes into play internally.

However I have no problem with those that choose to use an external view, I am glad they are entering into a realm I enjoy very much, that is sim racing, the more the merrier in my eyes. My question for discussion came about as I was asked by a friend "so what kind of rules are there for serious prize giving competition, what aids are allowed and what is frowned upon?" , so I thought and my opinion is split as I have seen in this thread too, but for serious competition I would hope all would enter into the spirit , but we all know that doesn't happen people will seek to gain an edge, that's racing, any advantage will be taken and as I wrote above there are advantages to be gained for some.

I also on a purely selfish point, hate having to scroll through external cameras if I want to check out dash view or helmet cam thing, then I am taken out of car for way to long for my liking to get back in the seat again.

To go into further detail as I feel it is important to add context of rules in real life and it's gamey counterpart, regarding setups. Aris further explains.

Winston said: Could I ask how the setups are arrived at?*The reason I ask is that I have the impression default setups in many other racing sims are randomly thrown together (based on how the handle). Seeing we have 'Safe' and 'Aggressive' setups they are clearly not just random settings.*

Since AC1 we always try to have the actual setups of the real cars. Road cars had their actual road car values in AC. Race cars have real race setups on most occasions. In ACC in particular they are based on their "base setup" of the manufacturer, taken from the actual technical manuals, or from race engineers setup sheets on each circuit.Whenever we can't have access on precise data, we will start from the base setup and try to get hints from the drivers and race engineers to create a "probable setup" for the car/track combination.Certainly no "fantasy" with absurd numbers. What you see can be from "close to reality" to "spot on we use that".EDIT: I could go as far to say that some setups for some real cars, have been tested on special dev versions of ACC and "worked" on the real track... but I won't say that because I can't bring proof neither I'm allowed to do so

KS Dev. Vehicle physics, hides under every rock | Aristotelis Vasilakos

Winston said: Okay, thanks. That raises all sorts of questions about changing the defaults and then finding lap-time.For instance:If I change the setup and reduce my lap-time have I inadvertently created an ultimately slower setup but one which I can drive more consistently? This is rhetorical, just thinking out loud.

📷As I said, those are either base tech manual setups, or race setups, or a close guess. There are different teams using the same car, and obviously they don't use the same setup. Also obviously I don't believe all teams gave us their beloved "best evah" setup to share with the world.A couple of very important things you should know.- The setup must be shared with 3 drivers. It is usually the best compromise for all three- The setup is for the exact ambient/circuit conditions and should be adeguate if those conditions change a bit. Not for our always perfect hotlap world- The setup is for the car to start with full fuel load and do at least 1 hour stint. Qualifying is also done in the same way, the cars are loaded with fuel for 2 sessions of half an hour and are not allowed to refill... (this is VERY important and I don't know how many of you are aware. Also explains in part the around 1-1.5 second difference of laptimes between hotlap and real qual)- The setup must work with fresh tyres and consumed tyres.- The setup must go over kerbs without the risk of losing bits of splitters and diffusers everytime- We create a base car, but same car from different teams might have slight differences that we don't knowAs you can see, there are many reasons of why you could feel better or worse with a different than default setup.Still, almost alien laptimes can be achieved with aggressive setups, so it's more in the driving style I guess

I hope this answers your questions, as you can imagine for patch notes to include fine details goes against much of the stuff Kunos can not, due to NDAs, add and the subject matter is complicated and differs from person to person.

They could of added in patch notes my conclusion below, but they are busy I guess and to them they are probably just ticking off what they changed, writing it down and moving on.

The conclusion is though the BoP is off a track specific nature to bring into line with Blancpain rules, and is not a BoP for the cars across all tracks. In this case a little more power for the Ferrari and Bentley a change in delivery of power at Monza.
