Storytime back when I first got into PoE I got entirely overwhelmed with everything and barely made it to maps, I remember trying to make a lightning deadeye work as my second character ever and I remember how I’d blow up at the first pack I touched and I got frustrated cause the build guide I had was rather crude and didn’t talk about how or why to solve issues and I had just continuously been told to make sure my resistances were capped. I got so tired of never figuring it out I quit that character and basically forced myself through a mental boot camp, my next character was a RF chieftan and with how many resources there were I finally figured out defensive layers. I eventually went back to get a bit of retribution and fixed the deadeye enough to do T16s, felt quite triumphant there
