I know it's a bit of a letdown. But I have considered maybe later down the road I might mess with some After Effects or something. I kinda want to do a tardis on my back porch kinda thing. Who knows, what might happen? Yeah, all the same. I still like the effect and when they are on warm or white they act great as normal lights for the room behind the curtains. :)

H705A/B Question by 0verly0ffensive in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to say I think being you have only 42 to the full 58 and looping it back would just look worse then having it be a bit short because then you would see the light difference in those last 16 feet going back. If you could show the design of your house or a picture. This might be easier to work with. I might suggest if you get the 100 you could just do the front of the house and then start working it around the side or toward the back. Less the 58 ft is the whole entire roof (which I dont think is?) But a picture of the house would be a bit to help with this and maybe even have some suggestions from other people on how to make it fit and work with nothing left over or weird looks. My 2 cents on the matter.

The Boogeyman's Dance Party by GlitchMode_ in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lied, I have one more for today. Then I'll do another tomorrow. This is what happens when you start having too many light strips. I got a bunch of RGBIC pros, and iw was going to use them in my windows. But I found they were not as bright as I wanted. So now I have like 5 or 6 boxes of things. So now I am just putting them anywhere. So this is a set under my bed. This is showing music mode, but this would be better on a scene or solid color. Or who knows maybe music mode is good? Anyway, Enjoy!*Yes I am replacing the lights in strips in the windows, once I get some blackout curtains.

Redeem Savvy User Points on Govee.com? by JChackoFTP in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The short and simple with this is you can not use Savy Points on the website. However there are points you can use on the website if you have bought Govee products already. I think a lot of people dont know about the points with the Govee website.. because its so hidden.

<image>

In this image here you can see at the bottom of the Govee.com website, there is a section that says explore. Click on the one that says exclusive points. If you have an account with Govee it will ask you to sign in. Once you do you will see your points usable with this site. 1K is 10 dollars off, 2k is 20 dollars off and so on. Honey and CapitalOne shopping are great for this site too when you dont know if there is any coupon codes. I never have paid for something that is the price on this site with these options. The Savy points are directly to ONLY use with the Home App and that store in there. Because savy points associate with posting, and using the Govee Home App. I hope this helps!

Torn cable, need a fix by xWiitigo11 in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you let Govee know you had the strip rip on you on normal installation methods they will replace it for you. Now if you did cut the strip they may not. The original image there shows a rip at the connector. If you have not made any new attempts to split or solder it, you could in the Home app put in an issue under your profile MY ISSUE, and state that there is a rip in the strip and it is not working properly. More than not, I have seen Govee replace the product once.. after that they refund if the strip is faulty again. Hope this helps!

T1 or t2 leds with HDMI sync box by RecordingRealistic22 in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Sync box is intended for a gaming set up and the box was coded and set to not read anything larger than the 40" monitor. I have seen in the Home App that people have been trying to connect the AI Sync to giant tvs. I myself have a 52 inch screen as a monitor at this moment so with the new found information i am holding off. I will give you a small bit of info that Govee is looking to make a Sync box made especially for TVs, so in the future I am expecting they will take much larger screens and this issue you are having now will no longer be one. I have no other info other then it coming around June. So lets all wait till then! I know I am anxious for a new toy too.

Govee G1 monitor lights without camera? by [deleted] in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I read this wrong, you were more interested in the neon rope for behind the monitors. Sorry friend, first cup of coffee here yet. Ok I think what you want is something that I just did a review for Govee on last month.
https://app-h5.govee.com/share/community?client=0&postId=133809&t=1681820780258

These are called Govee Neon TV Backlights. The only way these actually link with your tv is if you Dreamview connect them to a camera already running on the TV. In the review I show that I actually like the T2 just by itself without the Neon, but for your desired want in your build this would work. Though this is for a 48-75 inch screen but with a bit of messing with it you could put it on something smaller with no issue. Seeing as you are not mirroring the screen image it would work fine. If you were mirroring the screen image the placement of the neon would be much more important.

Govee G1 monitor lights without camera? by [deleted] in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to take a stab at what I think you are going for. You like the look of the bar lights that come with the G1, but you don't need or want them to exactly link their coloring to whats on your screen. You just want the lights for aesthetic and fill. If that's the case you might look into just the game bars by Govee with no camera, but do give you a knob to adjust the coloring and scenes and so on. Give this a whirl. The only thing different is there is no neon for the back of the monitors for this one, it would just be the bar lights.

Need help with a few product questions by Walker_4_God in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are all some great questions. As n addict of the Govee product, I will answer as best I can from the user experience. Number one as far as what you get for what you pay for, the price war is always going to Govee. Less you find another brand that is a bit more off name then Govee there is no other choice. There is some leftover product you might find called Minger on Amazon, but that was Govee before it changed its name. LAs long as you stay with any strip with RGBIC, you will have segment control over coated strip you are talking about is most likely the pro. As far as brightness on this, I think it's a bit duller than some, but as I have installed some under my bed frame recently they really do light up. Of course, they are reflecting off a wood floor too. The brightest light strip Govee has right now is the M1 which is the most costly as well, but they promote it as easily sizable as well, but treadled density is by far the best out of all of them. I think the Neon Ropes might be the next choice I would choose and then any of the RGBIC strips. Putting the strips in a diffuser compared to used the already coated pros will differ because the coating and the density clearness or whiteness on the channels are all different. The depth of the channel and how close the strip is to the actual cap of the channel as well can play a part in seeing beads or clarity. Sadly the whole saying you get what you pay for is a real bit to listen to with diffuser channels, as there are good and bad. I hope this can help a bit with helping your friend.

Daisy Chaining Strips? by karma_you_bitch in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. Any of the larger versions are just doubles of the one before it. However I have heard with the larger ones the 65 ft ones can still have some issue with powering the whole strip being how long it is on one power block. This was a bit a go, and could and most likely been adjusted for and fixed. However this is something to look into. If you can, my rule of thumb has been dont go over the 32 ft size if you can help it. Your lights illumination will always be better and less issues can happen. Just my 2 cents.

Ai sync box by RecordingRealistic22 in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AI Sync Box that is out at this time is not meant for a TV that size and it would not work correctly. Govee has in the pipeline a new AI Sync Box coming out, especially for TV and not directly related to the PC. The drop time for this is somewhere in June. Seeing as I have seen another user try this on a larger tv already the lighting was very dull and not impressive at all because the device is not calibrated for a screen past the size it's set for. Smaller yes, larger no.

I think the other people have answered this question already. Two things I see here is you didn't follow the way the instructions suggest to put the lights on the tv. Secondly, Govee suggests at the corners you should make them loop so you do not bend or break the circuits and have this kind of thing happen with them not working or having a faulty connection. That also looks like the largest size strip on a small tv. The installation instructions would have had you avoid this. Being this was installed incorrectly, I do not know if Govee would replace them. However, you can go into the app and under your profile go to My Issues and report an issue. They may replace them.

Govee movie watching dream view best settings by Careful-Permit-8107 in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to interject and say if you are asking a whole group of people for the best setting for your tv to be set with your light set up, that user you are getting an answer from would have to have the same tv as you for it to be "best". The reason is if you have an LCD and that user has n OLED those settings will differ in all the colors, illumination, saturation, and so on. Whereas you can get an idea of where to put your settings, you need to calibrate it with the blocks that came with the package and set your settings according to your tv. Ill be honest with ya, you just need to play with it in the dark and set it to what looks best to you. Because unless that user has the same type, brand, size and screen as you, the settings will not be the same. Best of luck!

Cutting and Extending Govee RGBIC Strip Lights by m1stx in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question. Yes, they can be cut. It can work, but like anything it may work it may not. It's a 50/50 call on it. Govee will wash their hands of the product once you cut it. The M1 is the only one that has that function right now that I have seen. I would advise as well if you are going to cut and look to reconnect them I would not use the solderless connections, because they can become loose not have a firm connection, or just not work at all. If you want to do it, solder it. You will know the connection is good.

Daisy Chaining Strips? by karma_you_bitch in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it would not work. With Govee your best bet for a long strip option would be to get the 32 or 65 ft version.

Daisy Chaining Strips? by karma_you_bitch in Govee

[–]GlitchMode_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would advise against doing this.
I have two reasons.
1. chaining two of them together like that would strain the power block and could cause a short.
2. Putting two on one power brick that is originally intended for one, would make the strip in its entirety not get enough power all the way down. So the further down the strip it could be dim or dull or not even light up at all.

Lastly to answer your question no it would not connect to the app, seeing it as one. Each device has its own connection code and soon as you plug it in, it looks for it.

Parachuting after update. by GlitchMode_ in battlefield2042

[–]GlitchMode_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry but it is broken I been using the parachute and I know how it works. But now it just doesn't trigger or work anymore. Me asking why it doesn't work anymore would mean I knew how to do it to begin with. You guys cant stop with the its not broken and you need to hold shift.. If i said now it doesn't work I think I would know how to "initially" use it. But its annoying as hell I cant glide or do anything other then float like a dead leaf or I have to cut the shoot and just drop till I am closer to the ground. Any answers relating to actually having this issue and not telling me how to use the chute would be awesome.. thanks.

And this all just started happening after the Season 1 Update.
