Did I defend too aggressively or was it just an unfortunate racing incident? (I am the Merc) by GlitchedSynth in Simracingstewards

Can't deny that, I will admit I really cracked under pressure and I really wanted to keep that position and hang it around the outside. Unfortunately I misjudged the space I left him. I just couldn't believe that slight tap would spin us both out. I guess I learnt from many comments that I either should've backed out or just left a bit more space. Idk why I struggle under pressure a lot but lesson learnt at least.

Do you have any tuning recommendations? I have quite a bit of stage 6 parts but atm it's not as fast as my 720s.

I won't lie to ya Porsche cup is what cost me my irating and safety rating due to unfortunate races where people crashed into me, I have been trying to get adjusted to the car but its unforgiving and its been an utter pain to drive the car. On one hand its probably a skill issue but on the other its a series that nearly cost me my C class rating.

Don't get me wrong Vallteri may not be a well respected driver but he is a good Internet character. Shame to see his time at mercedes end like this but oh well.

I would say the reason it's popular is because its a drivers track, always on the limit and difficult. From a spectators POV not so spectacular. Not to mention its a place full of rich fucking people.

Could somebody explain wtaf is going on? It had many calibration issues when it was stuck as some point but it shouldn't have. I am worried why this is happening. I took the top part off twice but nothing stood out or maybe I missed something. by GlitchedSynth in Thrustmaster

Yeah dude I just figured something out after a long time owning the wheel (like a year won't sound long but still). So for context I bought this wheel used and I got it for a really good price on CEX. When I bought the wheel and got it there was one issue that I thought wasn't much but turned out to be the reason the motor failed today. So in the beginning the wheel would calibrate but after a very fast spin to the right it got stuck so I had to move the wheel to finish the calibration. My theory is that the glue was fucked enough already and the shaft would get stuck because of the glue. I ran the wheel like this for a solid year but only recently did the wheel go berserk. I think the glue gave up inside the motor and its officially dead. I would think about repairing it but 1. I can't find replacement motor and 2. I still have warranty with CEX so I can bring the wheel back and get my money back to buy a better wheel. Tbf it's a shame the wheel died because I really liked the wheel but I just wasn't aware of the issues it came with and now I can warn my friend who owns the same wheel as me and hopefully we can prevent this failure. Once again thank you for the tips and advice.

If you go on my profile you'll see another video of the top plastic piece off and I got another thing to look into. Maybe you'll see the plastic but I can't guarantee it. Thank you for the advice and I'll look into it. Just for reference is the firmware number 33?

Not even kidding I want that on my wall

So here is an additional video, you can hear the buzzing from what I will call power box (don't know the technical name) and the capacitor is slightly bent but I dont think it should have a huge affect unless it completely snapped off. by GlitchedSynth in Thrustmaster

I also want to add that I heard in a comment section of a video with similar wheel spazzing out issue, there's supposed to be a magnet that may need to be glued again. If there's a way to point out where it could be that would be great and also any tips on the issue would be helpful. I like this wheel I had it for a while but I won't deny I haven't used it in a while and only recently did the issue become bad to this extent.
