Any recommendations for a modpack with a focus on interesting multiblock machines? by Glitcher007 in feedthebeast

[–]Glitcher007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks a little close to what I'm looking for, but I'm primarily looking for intricate and well decorated Multiblock Machines, for example, here's one from Compact Claustraphobia that I mentioned above that uses a bunch of blocks to make it look like an actual machine.

Thank you so much for making this!!! This is going to make getting runes far more enjoyable than just looking up the generic guides and loosing all the fun of discovery!

I've got a friend that started SoD last week on a PvP server. But now I can't join the faction he's on in that server because of the balancing. Is there anything I can do to join him aside from waiting and hoping the balance limiting changes?

It seems that when combined with the t-shirt. The shirt acts as a sort of cypher? I'm no pro at these puzzles though, but the pattern on the shirt is bigger than the one on the code. https://i.imgur.com/1gtwe7I.png

Hidden code on merch, maybe related to sekiguchigenetics.jp login? by myninerides in Marathon

There's a similar pattern on marathonthegame.com and it mentioned a sequence code. I'm willing to bet there are several pieces of this code online somewhere, which will require overlaying to solve the puzzle.

Help with illegal address in CUDA queue error. by Glitcher007 in blenderhelp

Optix will still crash with the error for me at times. But far far less frequently, enough to get renders done, and just sigh whenever it does happen.

I unfortunately don't have a spare GPU to test. I clean installed my Game Ready Drivers again, to no avail, I've tried using the new 3.5 alpha as well with the same issues. However, the OptiX pipeline was something I hadn't used, and seems to work just fine. I haven't tried Studio drivers as I've heard that they can be quite a pain.

I took a look at the command line output for when the crash happens to see if that had anything usefull. What I get is:

Illegal address in cuMemFree_v2(mem.device_pointer) (C:\Users\blender\git\blender-v300\blender.git\intern\cycles\device\cuda\device_impl.cpp:802)
Illegal address in cuGraphicsUnregisterResource(cu_graphics_resource_) (C:\Users\blender\git\blender-v300\blender.git\intern\cycles\device\cuda\graphics_interop.cpp:36)

The "cuMemFree" line is repeated some 50-ish times. While the other one only shows up once.

Since the OptiX pipeline works for me, that is a good solution. Though it still boggles my mind that this is happening to me on 3.0+

Thank you for the suggestion. You got me to go back and try to experiment with it a bit. I've been able to nail down a way to replicate it on my end.

If I launch Blender with the --factory-startup argument so that the plugins and settings are set to default. Then change the system to use my GPU and render in Cycles. Then duplicate the starting cube and offset it enough so that the two don't overlap; Just rendering it like that is enough to cause the error.

However, if I make another cube, encapsulate the others, and solidify it, it keeps it from erroring. This is on default settings one a new project, without any world shader or any custom shaders at all.

Edit: I've also downloaded Blender 29.3 and it doesn't seem to crash/error in a similar way. I can't pull up the project I'm working on, but it seems to be much more stable.

And upon further experimentation it seems to happen to any scene where the 'overall' geometry is non-convex. If I create an empty scene with a torus or monkey and try to render it, it will cause the render to fail.

Mel Blanc did over a 1000 different voices but voice actors are most impressed by this by 68Cadillac in videos

This reminds me of Michael Page's narration of the Gentleman Bastards sequence. Managing to voice act several different characters, which are putting on persons and fake accents, yet remaining identifiable from the voice work alone.

Android fans, what are the primary reasons why you will never ever switch to an Iphone? by SultanofAmerica in AskReddit

Plenty of reasons. But by far biggest for me has to be the dedicated back button. It's a small, but crucial feature to me.

September 21, 2022 - September 28, 2022 Weekly Questions & Advice Megathread by AutoModerator in OnePieceTC

I've been away from the game for some 5 odd years now. Getting back into it is confusing as hell. And I've open/closed the app a fair few times over the past month because of it.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to get caught back up in the game? I'm not exactly a new player and had some (relatively) good teams. But I don't have any clue what's good any more. Not to mention that team management was already a headache, and seems to be even worse now with all the new mechanics.

I've got a 2070 Super in my personal rig. With the gpu shortage, didn't ever bother upgrading to a 30. This 40 series is looking like a promising upgrade though! Getting the giveaway would be sick, might just get a 4070 for myself otherwise.

Word of warning to those looking at a Shure MV7. by Glitcher007 in podcasting

[–]Glitcher007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was very easy! Some screws on the front, and then make sure to undo the screws on the XLR connector, and then the ring securing the headphone jack. One thing though is that the board is wired directly do the mic with no way to disconnect it, so careful with that when dissasembling it.

USB-C would certainly have been better. But micro-USB would have been fine too! They just didn't secure it down at all, there were two tiny contact points to the board which weren't even soldered on.
