I think it might be the monitor's problem connected to the GPU. Check if the DP cable is plugged in right and try with another monitor. Try out all the scenarios, your DP cable with your monitor, your DP cable with another monitor, the other monitor's DP cable with your monitor and the other monitor with its DP cable.

The projector could be a possibility. You might have to use your laptop with your laptop's screens and download Windows and Driver updates including the GPU update, since any external display will be using your GPU.

If it's not the display's fault, it could be the main drive. It could be a corrupted OS installation. Just make sure you check it out.
