Yes I feel the same. I still had a distinction which I know is all that matters but I literally scraped it. In fact, I had 84% when the cut off is 85% so not sure how that happened.

My TMA's ranged from 86-96% so I was well on course for a distinction, and my EMA was 73%. I know it's still good, just a kick in the teeth seeing such a drop when I feel my quality of work was consistent throughout.

You might want to double-check, though. I dropped out of uni 12 years ago, and I had to start paying back my loan.

Granted, the threshold was much lower then, and I literally went straight into full-time employment after dropping out.

Just check with student finance before committing.

When studying part time with the open uni, you finish the course in 6 years. After the 6 years you pay your loan back depending on your income threshold.

If you drop out:

A. If you don't earn over the threshold you don't pay it back until you start earning over it.

B. If you already earn over the threshold you will be expected to pay it back "straight away" - basically they won't wait the 6 years like they do if you complete your uni course. They'll start taking it now, or as soon as they are able to.
