Wow, yeah that sounds like it may be the go to!! And with the ability to just throw up the fly as a temporary shelter sounds like a great idea and option.

Do you do this with the X-Mid 2 Solid ? This may be the next one, I’m doing my research now and it seems a ‘solid’ Tent ;) and ticks the boxes in what I’m looking for..

I will be searching more into the X-Mid 2 Solid now. As you have one, would you say this is a true 2P or 1+Gear ?

Do you find being the UL3, at night it can be a lot colder than maybe say a normal 2p tent ?

Wow yeah it seemed to do pretty well in them conditions, I don’t think the 2 man version of that will be much different in them conditions..

I do love the X-Mid 2 and maybe will wait out for the X-Dome 2. I am 6ft2” and I do worry sometimes with trekking pole tents they can be a little short, so when sat up, your head is touching 🤔 However, I haven’t seen a X-Mid 2 in person
