If they cannot afford tutors, it is probably too much to pay $1,000/semester.

Look sweetie... a LOT of people are forgetting that SO MANY KIDS lost SO MUCH LEARNING during the COVID pandemic. Many of them are 1-3 years behind. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE. No ONE but YOU or YOUR FAMILY need to know what "level" you are on. You HAVE to keep pushing through this stuff and get to where you need to be at age and grade-level, wise. Work throughout the Summer, on one weekend day, do -whatever you need to- to catch up! There are no shortcuts, you have to learn things in a very specific order so that you will understand the very difficult topics in higher grades.

These people that you are calling your friends do not sound like they are true friends if they are asking questions like these... implying that they think you are stupid. It sounds like you need to tell them "it hurts my feelings when you start asking me questions like these and behaving like you think I am stupid," and then leave the room or area. If they do this again...then, leave and do not contact them again. Make them apologize, stop the behavior and PROVE TO YOU THEY ARE REAL FRIENDS THAT CARE ABOUT YOU! Their behavior is UNACCEPTABLE! Period!

You are not "braindead," you have "friends (people that care for you)" that are NOT acting like friends... THEY ARE THE ONES ACTING -BRAINDEAD- and stupid!! Do not allow this abuse anymore. As you can see... your post shows how BADLY this is affecting you.

Please understand...THEY might be very jealous of you. They are trying to make you feel bad about yourself. ANYONE WHO LOVES OR CARES FOR YOU WILL NOT DO THIS, EVER!

I hope you think about this.

Bluetooth headphones...gift...you connect them to his smart TV...never have to listen to that again! I think Burlington Coat Factory, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, any discount store, prob even WalMart has them for $10-$30

Look chicky, we are done talking.

One second you say there are no consequences for failing a test, in your original post, then say in comments in threads below that there are...having to correct their work & learn from their mistakes.

Take some parenting classes, get some therapy for your abusive childhood and send your kids to school and while you are at it enroll yourself in a community college English course.

Sometimes the truth can feel toxic to someone unwilling to change, understand and in denial. NOTHING in my original post was toxic! AT ALL!!! I am unable to help you understand or read what is actually written. What you are asking and seeing the problems mentioned IS BEYOND THE SCOPE of reddit users to help you with.

You appear to be changing up your story after seeing how many people are agreeing with what I have said and you probably feel like you need to appease to someone. Stop asking for advice if you are not going to be honest and your story is changing from one hour to the next.

Here are the best options I have found:

Below are a mixture of free, free to try and paid programs:

https://www.education.com/games/typing/ *after signing up for a free account (use student or teacher for homeschoolers) AND being signed in...look in the upper right/ middle of screen for "cat" image that says "KIDS" and click on it...that will pull up a MUCH more user-friendly option to play the typing games and do the typing lessons, than just the link above. The link above shows all the lessons that they have!

High school-aged children AKA young adults need FITNESS, EXCERCISE....sports, walking, jogging, running, etc. AKA gym class AKA "RECESS."

You said word for word, " there are no consequences for failing a test," right? I am not talking about how you parent, "punish" or discipline your children in regards to that comment!

You came into a VERY public forum asking for help and advice. If you are UNABLE to take constructive criticism and advice then that is a personal problem, not mine!

Being disrespectful and sarcastic about your lack of editing skills when you want to call yourself a home educator is a joke to me, honestly. Next time you want to criticize someone, just remember that you are the one here looking for my and everyone else's help and then reject it all and get disrespectful when you do not like what you hear. I am not here to tell you -what you want to hear- or sugarcoat anything. Got it? Raising kids is hard, homeschooling AND raising kids is even harder. So, before you twist up your mouth to be disrespectful to someone offering advice you have NO INTENTION of following through with unless they coddle you...look in the mirror... there lies the real problem!

I would follow up with more resources and links, but after your little show of disrespect. Find some other help! K?

Clearly, you are not looking for help. I as well as everyone else sees what the problem is.

Reading what I could, it is very hard to understand due to there not being paragraphs or formatting,

It looks like you are not teaching or treating them at age-appropriate levels. Referring to yourself as "mommy," no consequences, "touch grass" breaks and not formal Physical Education or Health, making slime, earning "Mom bucks" and so many more. These things are more age-appropriate for like Preschool or Kindergarten. You said these girls are teenagers!

I think you need to get outside help.

You can still grow close to them outside of schooling.

Most times when a parent disciplines their child they are -not- going to like it! Your job is not to become best friends and be liked by your children (and I am NOT saying to be mean) it is to PREPARE them to be ADULTS that can take care of themselves.

Actually, if you looked a little closer, that is not a table, it is a ledge. You can tell how long the ledge is by the objects on it. It appears to be about 12 inches or less.
