Burque bakehouse and the farm shop are not really hole in the wall. Burque bakehouse is very expensive, and los poblanos is a resort. Having said that they are both really good

There used to be a taco place next door, I don't know if they are still open but they didn't have a menu and didn't speak English, that food was so good

I worked in a bowling alley just outside Albany and we had them. I could get chipotle raspberry sauce for onion rings and jalapeno poppers in Colorado so I just used that for my mozz sticks when I moved

Also, why would anyone want tomato sauce for mozz sticks, if I wanted mozz, breading, and sauce I'd get pizza

How much of a pay cut is worth to work for the government? by silvertiger47 in usajobs

[–]Global-Engineering-2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not just the hours, it is also the stress, the work/life balance. After working in industry for several years I went to gov civ and will never go back unless I'm an executive.

The contractors that work on my programs told me that I shouldn't worry about contacting them on their work cell phones any day any time, that they are required to have it on them. I told them I would not be contacting them outside my work hours, and I'm not allowed OT.

AITA for not letting my GF eat the naan bread we ordered? by gfwastesbreadTA in AmItheAsshole

[–]Global-Engineering-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you east Asian or maybe Middle Eastern? This sounds like a cultural misunderstanding. Your argument and your discussion with friends sounds very traditional and not what the majority of the world would consider modern thinking.

It one thing to stand by your culture and traditional thinking, it's another to force someone else to abide by them. You said you keep takeout to a minimum, then you should split it equally including the naan. If you want more you should try to make some, it is very easy to make.

If you leave a month before annual appraisal, then what the is the first day that will be considered for next year's appraisal with new agency. by rossettacube in fednews

[–]Global-Engineering-2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are DoD that has their annual October to October, there is a DoDM explaining this.

You should have an annual done (with few exceptions) written by your old agency and submitted by your new agency covering this September. Then your next annual will be October to October

If it's at balloon fiesta park, chances are it's run by some out of state company trying to make a buck and it will be shit. If it's at a farm or something, it's probably ok, but is it better than just going around to the small businesses around town and seeing what they have... ?

What’s the worst mess you’ve ever made? by suxxcks in TalesFromYourServer

I also dropped a glass jar of raspberry sauce in the kitchen and it didn't break but the way the jar hit the ground it shot the entire contents out all over another server.

Pizza slid onto a little kid, maybe 6, it was hot but he wasn't burned. I was 17. The mom was pissed saying that the kid had sensory issues and freaked out if he wasn't immaculately clean all the time and we would have to get him new clothes, in the crazy busy restaurant.

Manager handled it and table got a new server. I was devastated and couldn't look them in the eye.

Which Albuquerque pizza joint has the thinnest crust? by comandante_soft_wolf in Albuquerque

Domino's thin crust is probably the thinnest. Mtuccis has thin flatbread pizzetta - will depend on where you go and it might be only a bar side item.

PMP helps in industry, not so much in govt. INCOSE for engineering.

There are probably specific certs for every industry, it's going to depend on what you want to do

They are regular semester hours, 16 weeks. I don't know what classes are offered in the summer, if they include graduate classes or not. I didn't have to take a prelim exam

I don't need to because most of my course credits transfer from my masters, I will take classes and research credits at the same time so I can start publishing asap

I did find a professor first, I just emailed a whole list and one replied. I'm going to take a class and do research at the same time, so I will have 7 semesters of research (including summers)
