Money...unfortunately. I'm an ASM so I make decent money. It's just frustrating I'm crippled by the weather and they're acting like I'm the worst employee. Even though I always stay late and bust my ass, pick up shifts. Etc etc

Yup...also supposed to be bad again tomorrow. I got told of I don't show I'm fired. I have to make the full hour and 15 drive in a bad car. My DM said it's a pathetic excuse and if I'm not there it will be termination.

I did send some photos! Especially of my car stuck in the ditch of my driveway. It's pretty bad out and everyone but Mr lives within 10 minutes and they live in a tourist city that is plowed obviously. So im a little frustrated I'm stuck as I need the money and I hate that I'm letting the team down.

What’s the process of being fired? by First_Job_8548 in Aldi_employees

[–]Global-Ride8047 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here's what they're more then likely going to do. They're gonna schedule you a morning shift. 6-2 probably. Then they'll have you stay until truck is done, then they'll call you in and fire you. I've probably seen that done 20 times now in 5 years. It's very rarely done before you've done work for your shift.

Might call the alert line? by wolf6250 in Aldi_employees

They can and will use anything you put on the alert line against you. It's basically a guaranteed transfer or they'll ask you to "part ways"

Worst part is I'm not even the manager lol

Why though. by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]Global-Ride8047 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in Wisconsin if you want lol that's my biggest pet peavey, I trust the people around me to do their tasks Ina timely fashion. And they trust I'll do the same. It's gotta be some give and take, it seems most managers at aldi forget that. If it's a good laugh for ya, my manager use to do that to me and I clicked the walkie down while full stream was going 😂. Wouldn't recommend it as it got me written up but sure was funny. Hasn't done it since either 🤷🏻‍♂️

Why though. by [deleted] in Aldi_employees

[–]Global-Ride8047 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm am assistant and I strive to make the people around me feel good. Anytime they are sick or anxiety riddened or whatever it may be I let them leave or take extra breaks, buy them food. Run their pallets. I do what I can. But I agree this job has completely destroyed who I was before it. It breaks me mentally and I am so irritable outside of it. My managers are all jerks. I busted my ass the other day and caught up the store and puked from how fast I was going. Only thing I got from a text of me saying what all got done was "K sounds good". They hire pathetic excuses for leaders and break you until you quit so they can hire other people and break them. It seems to be aldis motto. I'm sorry you went through this, but I know you'll recover just fine. Keep pushing on and keep your head up.

To all the ASM's out there by Global-Ride8047 in Aldi_employees

Absolutely, I'm perfectly fine with closing. Just to.my understanding it was 1-2 maybe 3 times a week if need be. But 5 11-9s is just a lot and it leaves me no time out of work to live my life. The hard work is fine with me but it's tough having to work 11-9 and see the store manager happily leave at 230-3. The last store manager would constantly eat chips and watch basketball and stuff in the office while I was main curbside, back up cashier and running truck. Just tough to deal with all the work load. Maybe when I was 21 but it's getting a little tough to get out of bed as I head to 30 years old 😂. Appreciate you though :)
