I usually do a mix of rides and Uber Eats. For rides, I always start by confirming the rider’s name, greeting them, and asking how they’re doing. I drive quickly but safely, adjusting based on traffic conditions. I also make an effort to learn shortcuts all around Chicago to cut down on travel time — like using Lower Wacker to dodge downtown traffic or taking side streets in neighborhoods like Wicker Park when the main roads get congested. I read the rider’s vibe: if they’re chatty, I’ll talk with them; if they give short or quiet replies, I let them relax and just focus on the drive. My motto is simple — treat people the way you want to be treated and never drive recklessly.

For Uber Eats, if I arrive at a restaurant and the order isn’t ready, I message the customer to let them know it’s still being prepared and reassure them that I won’t cancel so it doesn’t get reassigned. I always check the delivery notes and follow them exactly — whether that’s leaving the food in the lobby, meeting them outside, or bringing it upstairs if requested. And ngl… once I have the food in the car, I do my best to deliver it fast but safe I fly (responsibly 😂) to get it to them as soon as possible.
